Weekly Reminders: 

 

* Homework: Please click: homework to view the latest assignment(s)

* Shop for books for your child and we earn a FREE book for the classroom library! Sign up at www.scholastic.com/bookclubs. (Class Activation Code: HKYBR.)


General Reminders:


* Please make sure your child brings water to school in a water bottle. It is very hot outside and the children get very thirsty.  We take water breaks but it would help to have water in the classroom.
* Ice cream money is only on Fridays. Please send all money in a clearly marked envelope and state what the money is for. Please write your child’s name on the envelope.
* Please make sure you children are rested.  This is a long day and we start working first thing in the morning.
* We take many restroom breaks but all children need to have a change of clothes in their book bags for accidents.  The clinic has a very limited supply.  They can just keep them in their bags until they may need them.

My goal for your child this year is to LOVE school! I will work hard to provide a positive and enriched learning environment so that your child can experience great success.  I am so excited to start a new year at Puckett's Mill and plan on making this a wonderful year. I hope you will be pleased with all of the exciting things we do this year.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE....

Monday, May 14th – Art Day

-Students may bring in any art supplies (watercolors, markers, coloring books, etc…) to share with their friends! Please label items.

Tuesday, May 15th - Books at the Beach

- Students will bring their favorite books (please label with your child’s name) and a beach towel.  Students will enjoy reading books together outside!

Wednesday, May 16th – Board Game Day

-Students can bring in board games to play such as Scrabble, Boggle,

Hi Ho Cherry-O, etc.  Please be sure to label games with your child’s name!

(no video games, please)

Thursday, May 17th – Creation Station Day

- Students will use their imaginations as they build and create. Please send in any building materials (small Legos, Lincoln Logs, Gears, etc…). Please make sure the container is labeled with your child’s name. Thanks so much.

Friday, May 18th –End of the Year Party!

-We will celebrate a fabulous year together! The party will begin at 11:30.

Monday, May 21st - Outside Fun Day

-Students will play outside with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, jump ropes, etc.  Please send in bubbles, sidewalk chalk, or anything else to share with your friends.

Tuesday, May 22nd – Puzzles, Pajamas and Pizza Day!

Please have your child wear their pajamas to school (no spaghetti straps and please put shorts under nightgowns). Don’t forget to have your child wear tennis shoes. We will also be having a pizza party. J Students will work together to complete a variety of puzzles. Please send in any puzzles that we may borrow (with your child’s name on it J).

Today is the last day for backpacks. Please do not send anything that cannot be thrown away tomorrow Lunches may be sent in a paper or plastic bag). Thanks

Wednesday, May 23rd - Movie Day

-Students will watch an Educational movie, eat popcorn, and celebrate the last day of school!
