Easter

Happy Easter! This year is going by very quickly. I returned home on Sunday afternoon to notice that for the first time, my tulips are going to bloom this year!! With all of the great weather and new life, it sure is easy to forget what other new life we are going to celebrate next Sunday. Can you believe we are about to celebrate the resurrection of our dear Lord Jesus?! I think it is perfect that God gives us new life in our current world through Spring at the same time we celebrate Jesus giving us new life through his death and resurrection. As you look around this week and see all of the color and life spring from the ground talk to your children about the similarities in the new life of spring and the new life Jesus brings us.

Drive-Thru Difference and Bible Verses

Today, on Life 101.9, is what is called the drive-thru difference. I have sent home a note to use and to help explain what the 'drive-thru difference' is. I am basically asking that as you pay for your food in the drive-thru you hand the teller this note and pay for the car behind you. Tell the teller to give the note to the person in the car behind you. I am asking you to do this in hopes that maybe your child will even be the one to hand them the money and the note. Also, I am wanting to write encouraging bible verses on the walls of my classroom. Do you have any favorites? One example is:

"I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

This is how script works if you are unsure about it. You will purchase a gift card for any store on our list. There is no extra charge to you. If you want $50 to some place, you purchase a $50 script (gift certificate). That store will then give St. Patrick School a percentage of what you spent! Too Easy!
