Math:   Measurement, time, area, perimeter, Test moved to Tuesday 3-22, begin Geometry on Wednesday

 

Homework: See agenda for daily homework assignments. IXL math (15-20 minutes) login and passwords are in the front of your child’s agenda.

 

Language Arts: This week we will be focusing on our Response to Literature essay, prewriting, editing, and Grammar skills (adverbs, adjectives). Finish “The Crowded House”, and “Good Advice”

 

Homework due: Reading 20 minutes nightly, AR Books are recommended; Due 3-25: DLR #28,

CRCT Test Prep L. 23 (pgs 104-107),   L. 24 (pgs 108-111),   L. 25(pgs 112-115) ,  L. 26 (pgs 118-121)

Sp. L. 23 test.

 

Science/Resudek: Fossils, Test Friday 3-18

SEM: Global Warming. Students should be working on their global warm project. (See Creagh’s website)

Math:  Multiplication and Division with remainders. Students should continue to review their basic multiplication facts nightly. This is very important! Students are struggling with division because they do not know their basic multiplication facts. Work with flash cards; have them write out the facts, practice, practice, practice!

 

Homework: See agenda for daily homework assignments. IXL math (15-20 minutes) login and passwords are in the front of your child’s agenda.

 

Language Arts: “Many Moons Ago” & “Coyote Places the Stars”; compare and contrast, figurative language, plural possessive nouns, action verbs, “be” verbs, long vowel (e), (ee), (ea), sequencing, and compare/contrast,  

 

Homework due: Reading 20 minutes nightly, AR Books are recommended;   2/9 (Wednesday): Sloppy Copy paragraph (Your Favorite Place to Visit), 2/11 (Friday): Spelling test L. 18, DLR #22, edited paragraph due,  and CRCT  Test Prep pages 46-55 (Lesson 10 & 11)
