June 13, 1971 my brother was killed by a drunk driver while he was on a motorcycle and was innocently coming from the other direction and these guys were drag racing into town. Billy did not have much but he did have a 1967 black 2+2 GTA 390 Mustang and he thought the world of it. My Mother [Nadine] an 81 years old retired minister asked if I might be able to find this car because she would really like to have it. Through many friends we found the car but it was too badly damaged to restore. The person which owned my brother's car in my opinion wanted way too much for the car, especially in the shape it was in. [All rusted out and it only had three wheels on it] I found another car in California and we did it identical to my brother's. We presented the car to my Mother in May of 2008.

MEMORY RESTORATION
Dr. Tom Thurman, Macon, had this 1967 Ford Mustang restored in memory of his brother Billy who was killed in an accident in 1971. Dr. Thurman's mother, Nadine, had mentioned wanting the car for a keepsake. Dr. Thurman surprised his mother, former pastor of the Macon United Methodist Church, with the vehicle.
