Try-outs are Monday, 5/14 thru Thursday, 5/17 til 5pm, Saturday, 5/19 10 to 12pm, Mon, 5/21 thru Wed, 5/23.....
Final try-out is on Wed, May 23rd!
All interested must get clearance from Nurse's Office at HS prior to try-outs!

The Ninth Annual Monroe-Woodbury Winter Classic Cheerleading Competition was a huge success. The event previously scheduled for Saturday, February 5th had to be postponed due to expected inclement weather to Sunday, February 6th. So, on the snow date (Super Bowl Sunday) – we far exceed our expectations! We had a record-breaking 54+ teams compete in addition to the MW Varsity, JV and Modified squads’ exhibition performances. More than 1,600 spectators, 1,100 cheerleaders and an army of 50+ parent/grandparent volunteers (and others) helped make the event a bigger success than last year. We wish to thank all of our sponsors including: Big Mike’s, Harriman Square Deli, Foremost Caterers, Tre Angelina, Bella Luna, Planet Pizza, Bagel World, The Captain’s Table, Jay’s Deli, Birchwood Caterers, Amalfi’s, La Vera Cucina, Bocci’s, Bright Star Diner, Amendola’s, Woodbury Ambulance Corp. and The Chirichella Family. Raffles were donated by: Gina Gutierrez-The Jewelry Box, Tina Anastos-Premier Design Jewelry, Outback, Staples, Gretchen Gristina-Celebrating Home, Orange Golf Club, Tuxedo Ridge at , and Lisa Schmitt-Simply You. Ashley Meese and Sarah Kyles did a beautiful job singing our National Anthem at each session. The MW Parents Cheer Club would also like to thank Coach Barbara Alidad, Coach Jean Turco, Coach Jenna Balakitsis and Barbara O’Connor for their tireless effort and assistance in helping us to make this happen. Thanks to Kathy Fisher for her continued support. To an awesome husband and wife team Donna and Paul Reiner – you are always there for us and we thank you very much!!

Congratulations to all of our 2011-2012 MW Cheerleaders! It was great seeing so many parents and cheerleaders at our first meeting! The raffle ticket camp fundraiser is well underway now. As we mentioned a mandatory stunting clinic is scheduled for Monday June 13th at the high school. This is the first supplemental training event sponsored by the MWPCC. Again if anyone has any questions at any time please contact any of the Board members or your team coach. Watch for updates on the web page calendar for meetings and other important events that will come up throughout the next school year starting in August 2011 and running through March 2012!!
Congratulations to all of our talented girls who made this year's 2010-2011 Monroe-Woodbury Crusader Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleading teams! You have the honor of representing Monroe Woodbury as Cheerleaders inside and outside of our community. For many of you this is something you have worked for all of your lives. What an amazing accomplishment. We are all so very proud of each and every one of you.
Right now you are probably trying to make sure you have everything you need for your first exciting team building experience as new squads, CAMP! Your Coaches make the sacrifice of leaving their families to give you the opportunity to spend important training and social time together forming bonds and making memories you will have for a lifetime!!! For this we are all very thankful. Make the most of every moment.
Have fun, make us all proud, and most of all enjoy your time together. Memories are forever!!!!!!!!!
