The Hand-held Refractometer is a kind of precision optical instrument. Through to provide with a direct reading of the scales, we can easily know the concentration or refractive index of liquids. Our traditional hand held refractometer is very welcomed for it has following characters:

It is developed for working with sugar related liquids (fruit juice, soft-drinks, wine, honey), help monitor to control sugar concentrations in foods and beverages. Checking the “ripeness” of fruit in the field, verifying product quality after harvesting or controlling concentrations during processing and packaging, refractometers provide critical information to ensure product quality. And the model RHB-10, RHB-18 and RHB-32 are also commonly used for controlling the concentration of various industrial fluids (cutting lubricants and flux rinsing compounds).

It is designed for clinical usage and intended for both Veterinary and Human Being. This unit provides veterinarians and Human Being with quick and accurate indication of vital fluids’ levels. Its triple scale reads Urine Specific Gravity (SG), Total Serum Protein (SP) and Refractive Index (RI).

It is designed for testing for concentration of the battery fluids, antifreeze liquid and cleaning fluids (CF). With the indication of the percentage you may know at which temperature the fluid will be frozen for both propylene glycol(PG) and ethylene glycol(EG). It can also be used for checking the strength of electrolyte solution batteries (BA). RHA-100 and RHA-200 can also measure the concentration of ethylene glycol or propylene glycol in antifreeze liquids.

It is developed for working with alcohol or sugar related wines and concentration of alcohol and developed for measuring the sugar in the grapes, that helps the manufacturer to decide the best time to manufacture the grape wine. The RHW-25 is typically designed for the alcohol degrees of the grape wine made by the original grape juice. RHW-25/Brix is typically designed for the sugar content in original grape juice and the alcohol degrees of the grape wine made by the original grape juice.

The HI 96801 Digital Refractometer is a rugged portable, water resistant device that benefits from HANNA’s years of experience as a manufacturer of analytical instruments. The HI 96801 is an optical instrument that employs the measurement of refractive index to display the sugar content in samples. The measurement of refractive index is simple and quick. Samples are measured after a simple user calibration with deionized or distilled water. Within seconds the instrument measures the refractive index of the sample and converts it to % Brix concentration units. The HI 96801 digital refractometer eliminates the uncertainty associated with mechanical refractometers and is portable for measurements in the field.

The measurement technique and temperature compensation employ the methodology in the ICUMSA Methods Book (International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis).

Temperature (in °C or °F) is displayed simultaneously with measurement on the large, dual level display along with other helpful message codes.
