I'm excited about the 3 day too, the scary part is raising the 2300 dollars I have to have to walk. I'll get it done though :) I'll have a 24 week training schedule to do before the race too, but I'm actually looking forward to late :) I'm going to train with my camera in a bag on my back :) that way I can carry my camera with me throughout the walking everyday. Tina, she's done this alot, has given me some great advice :)
I am going to the post office today, going to finally mail the three packages I have here in front of me :) Woohoo!!

Hi Alicia, I know we texted but I wanted to tell you that I joined a team called the 'Boobs of Hazard' with my friend Tina for the Susan G. Komen 3Day Breast Cancer walk next year. I am soooo excited I can see straight. I have always wanted to one but just never did and since I'm not getting any younger and I'm living by my new motto 'I'm in!' when I was asked I jumped on it. I'm so excited and already have a list of things I will need to start on, woohoo!!!

I need to do laundry in the worst way, like it's an epidemic of soiled laundry in the house :) Randy is planning for a huge hunting trip next weekend and there's hunting stuff every where, I mean every where. Driving me crazy!! I opened the closet door and this giant bag fell out and about pinned me to the wall, big ol hunting bag stuffed full. They are headed to the truck races at the Texas Motor Speedway tonight. Nick is soooo excited!

I was hoping to upload the pictures and have them on my site before now but it didn't work out. So I will say thank you so much for now. Thanks a million, jillion for the great Halloween package that we got in the mail. Kyleigh and I were tearing thru that box like it was Christmas morning!! I love the pin!! I sure wish I could have found one of those pins for you here in Dallas but they were sold out too. I know what and when to look for them next year :) I will too!! I have your shirt ready to be mailed and Monday I will hit the post office. I hope you like it. I told my husband that I was definitely going to visit you this coming year even if the AAO doesn't work out. He said that was fine he would go hunting while I'm gone :)
Boo at the Zoo didn't work out, it was one of those days that nothing went right except the weather, it was beautiful out side. I lost her costume, then found it, lost the gummy eyeballs for the gals at work then found them and then I packed up for the zoo. By the time I dropped off the eyeballs it was 1:00p. I thought there's no way I can get to the zoo in Ft. Worth then to Bass Pro by 4:00p so I scrapped the zoo (we'll take her it just woun't be Boo at the Zoo when we go) and headed to Kohls for a jacket for her ( forgot hers) I ended up buying several outfits and shoes :) Then to lunch, then to the shop to pick up Randy, then off to the Bass Pro Shop. The trick or treating was fun and Kyleigh even charmed a balloon off one of the guys there :) This morning we made the gingerbread haunted house, she was wearing her Tinkerbell outfit and got icing all over :) I took pictures :) She's back with her Mom now, we won't see here again til next Sunday morning, she'll be 2 on Saturday :)

When I RFL and RFTC I think of so many people anymore. It makes me work that much harder to help find the cure. Funerals are sad things most of the time. I'm sure they are even harder for people you are not that "open". My family is more like yours. We are pretty outspoken. I mostly copmplain about the cold weather and then get through it each year. Fresh snow is beautiful and I love it. The traveling and the length of winter just wears me down. A little goes a long way. I would love to have a visit with you!

Hi there!! Hope you are doing well and that work isn't beating you up too much. Thanks for your good thoughts over Aunt Katherine, she was a wonderful person. I was so happy you thought of her during your walk. Cancer is such a dark thing, we have to turn the light up and get rid of it. The funeral was sad and went as well as things like that can go. Her children have always been very quite people so it was difficult to get them out of their shells. My mom does not have children like that, we are very outspoken and nuts (most of the time).
I feel bad that my love of Autumn is rushing it in, I wish that you could have some of my winter and I could have some of yours. It would be fun at least once :) We hardly get seasons here, it's still in the 80's in December. That is a bummer for me...........heat all the time.
Some day I will make it your way for a visit, we could have a few laughs I am sure :)

Happy first day back to work!! Hope it goes well and that you don't over do it :) I can't say I blame you for already missing your time with Kaylee :) the little punkins keep us in line :) :) I texted you today :) I went to visit my Aunt this weekend she has cancer and it's getting the end, I hate cancer!! She looked good and I got pictures, it's bittersweet, I loved seeing her but I hate why.
I see you read my journal. I didn't want to bore you with all that while you're recovering but now that your back well I'm going to bore the heck out of you!!! LOL!!! I fell asleep and wrecked my car, man it really gets me mad when I think about it. So I'm working on a sleep plan for myself. It's not that I don't go to bed in time it's that I don't fully sleep, I am up and down all night. So that's what I'm working on now. I take Lunesta alot but not on surgery mornings, can not over sleep on those days. I may end up back at the docs office again.

Definitely!! We'll make it happen. I did have a wonderful day yesterday with Tina. It took about 3 1/2 hours to drive there and I spend the whole. I am bummed though because I forgot to take a picture of her and I together :( I'll post my pictures tomorrow sometime, the little town, Ada, is just a wonderful old town with great Indian history and old buildings. It was pretty hot though, thought I might melt at one point!!

I am feeling some better. It was weird to go somewhere by myself, not to mention driving! I drove very safely and I only went there and came back home! LOL Just like a sixteen year old. :) I came home and I was tired LOL (story of my life) Do you think I slept good last night? NO! I am having such a hard time at night being so restless. I think I'll be at home again today. Gonna try to Miracle grow some of my flowers if I can get Aaron to put all my pots up on the deck. My flowers have been neglected this year. Hello, Shutterfly friends! Thank you so much for all your thoughts, prayers words or acts of kindness!!! I love you ALL! This is my frist trip out to the computer so it will be short and sweet. I know that my "Shutterfly Angel" rounded up all these prayers and thoughts! I appreciate ALL OF YOU SO MUCH! The specifics of my absence are as follows. In March I tested BRCA2 positive. (I carry the breast cancer gene). After much homework I travel to Northwestern University in Chicago and spoke to very credited Dr's there. A High risk breast cancer surgeon and a breast reconstruction surgeon. They work with high risk people like me or women with breast cancer all day everyday. I decided my only choice was not a choice but a chance to live with the least amount of risk I could. Wednesday June 24 I had a prophalactic bilateral mastecomy with tram flap reconstrutction surgery. I then under went two emergency surgeries on friday night and again Saturday morning! It's all behind me, things are a little different than planned but I can adapt to them. I AM HERE TO TALK ABOUT IT and I have reduced my risk to Breast Cancer by 90% WOOHOO! I have used every bit of tecnology that is out there for me to do this as of now. I am home and doing very well. I go back for a visit on Moday and hope to get a good report card again! Thanks again! Yep I did get my antibiotic before I left town and I'm glad I did!! Didn't want to feel bad while I was at the beach. We got back late last night and I am sooooo tired. I was off today so I worked on the 300 pictures I took and will upload them tomorrow. You're right time is sailing by, guess that's a good thing. I think about it all the time. Alicia. Thanks so much for coming by. The 'big daddy' picture is sooo funny and there is a story behind it. Joe Tom is one of the biggest characters I have ever met. He cracks me up everytime we are around them. His voice is so deep and his laugh is something that makes your belly hurt when you hear it. It's great. I only have six and a half days of school left and I could not be more excited!! We plan on doing a bunch of camping this summer. Regan is already asking to go camping again. She just loves it. Hopefully Jason will get the camper fixed and we can do the camper thing instead of the tent thing. But either way it will be great!!! Have a great day and God Bless you and your family.

Alicia, I can't think of a better way to get off schedule than to be with your little punkin :) walking to Grinny's house :) Sounds great!! Your chores will get done but just a little later than you thought :) Hanging out with family sounds great too. I loaded up Miss Kyleigh and we went to Dallas and Las Colinas to take pictures :) I hauled her all over :) She loved it. Can't hardly carry her every where and if you put her on the ground......she's gone, running and laughing the whole time I'm chasing her :) I forgot the stroller!! But it all worked out. I'm having fun with my exploring Texas adventure, gonna be doing alot of that just for the adventure and fun. I'll post pictures on Tuesday :)

Hey there! I have made plans for this weekend. I am so excited. We are going Camping!!! I cannot wait. We found a spot as close to home as we are gonna get that is not flooded. There are three other couples going with us. One couple is getting a sitter for her kids and the other does not have kids but I am taking mine. My kids love to camp and be outside. They are contry girls. They both love to fish! I am lucky to have girls and we like the same things.
The wedding sounds...well like a wedding! HAHA I hope you and your hubby have a good time. So I guess I missed this somewhere along the way...what kind of business is he in? And he's the boss huh?! Do you have to remind him from time to time to check his title at the door?! LOL

Alicia, Ashlee needs to get a profile picture!! I know she has plenty to pick from and she cute as ever so all of them will work. Do ya'll travel? Go on cruises or big trips? I travel with work sometimes and a few things on my own but nothing insane. I'm looking at a cruise to Alaska for Randy and I, working on dates and stuff, it won't happen til next year though. I want to got o Hawaii bad, so maybe that'll be the next thing I look at. I got my passport in the mail yesterday and it has my mind spinning with the possiblities. Hey Alicia. I can tell just by reading what you write you love that kaylee. That is soo sweet. I love my kids. Sometimes I try not to claim them :) J/K but you know what I mean. I would not trade either one of them for a million bucks. They learn and grow so quick. My K'Lee is just growing like a weed. So smart and yes she is very diverse. She knows that cheerleading could lead to a scholarship and she loves hanging with her daddy riding donkeys, fishing and gets into racing with her mama. Regan boy she gets it all from granny I think. they are two peas in a pod. Have a fantastic week. Gotta make rounds before the rain comes. Supposed to be bad.

For two nights I haven't been able to get my yahoo to open up sooooo I couldn't email you and now I'm a little ticked about it! I wanted you to know I got yours and that I wasn't ignoring you. Even my Shutterfly is acting up, I can comment and see headers but nothing else, no other pictures, no film strips. I think the weather here is an issue. We've had rain the entire week. I went to my Mom's for her 68th birthday party and drove back in some of the worst rain I've ever driven in, that's saying alot because I spend a ton of time behind the wheel (it's a 2 1/2 hour drive to Mom's).

Hey Alicia - thankis for stopping by and for the kind comments on my daughter's prom pictures. She had a blast and I had almost as much fun with the pictures! I'm so glad you asked for the advice on cameras because I want to know too. I have an Olympus SP-510UZ that isn't a SLR, but I want to get either a Nikon or Canon SLR, too and can't decide which one to go with...but I have time - I probably won't have enough extra $$ to buy a new one too soon. My Olympus does a decent job, but I know a Canon or Nikon would be better! L8isa's advice on reading the Amazon reviews is a great idea. I did that when I bought my camera and I've been happy with it, it's just time to upgrade! And too cool that you scored an iPod too - way to go! Have a great week!

Hi Alicia, How are you doing this fine day? Did you have a nice weekend? I have a Nikon D80 SLR. I've had it for 2 years now and i like it. I use it on auto but I swear I have to learn all the features that it has. I'm very happy with the D80.
I do have new photos loaded on my 2nd site they were taken at Central Park this past weekend. Come on by and don't forget the Guess The Movie Game on my forum page. Have to be fast because Lisa is really good at this game. hope to see you stop by soon.

Hi Alicia, I'm back :) I read your comment below and wanted to say I love my Canon Rebel, it's just awesome!! I am saving for a new version, probably be able to get it around Christmas or so. You would love a Canon or Nikon SLR, they're great cameras!! I always tell people to look up cameras on Amazon then read the reviews, they're very honest. Plus sometimes they have pictures people have posted using that camera. I have thought I was going to buy this or that but changed my mind based on the reviews and it hasn't let me down yet. Hope that helps. Plus I have the Through the Lens page on my share site, just stuff I've learned. I am no expert that's for sure but I am a photography fan :)

Thanks so much to ALL of you for the Birthday wishes! It was a GREAT DAY! I am so lucky to have so many wonderful and loving people in my life to wish me HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I went to dinner tonight with my WHOLE family! We went to a a fundraiser hosted by the company that I work for at a local restaurant. Therestaurant gave 20% of your bill back to Relay For Life. What better place than to spend my Birthday than with my family, helping out my favorite charity! (P.S. I'm saving the money I got for my birthday to by myself a NICE camera!) I'm addicted!

I have been quickly browsing through your site and love your little grandaughter, her pictures strip of playhouse disney is very cute, I recently took my son to the live show and he loved it...he is 2.5, so if it comes to your area you have to take her, great show for the young kids and not so long that they wouldn't be able to sit through it. Hi Alicia, I was very happy to hear from you. The story about the Easter bunny is wonderful and I love that you have proof. She looks so sweet loving on the bunny :) Little Punkins!! Kaylee and the Bunny picture are from last year. Taken on my phone! I couldn't resist. Had to post it. At that time Kaylee was at that "leary" age with everyone, even FAMILY. We were in Walmart, I saw the Bunny coming and thought to myself OMG, we're gonna have a melt down in Walmart over the Bunny. Well, the Bunny waved at her from a distance and she smiled and waved back. I said "look it's the Easter Bunny he's waving at you". He got close and all of the sudden she held out her arms and hugged him. I about fell over! She loved all over this Bunny! I told them to stand right there I had to take a picture on my phone because I knew that her Mother would NEVER believe me! CLICK! There was proof! Ashlee didn't believe me when I told her the story but I had proof!

Lisa, The funky glasses picture was taken in Galena Illinois. The glasses were business cards for a retro toy store there. We had the most fun with those glasses. We were in Galena with friends. My girlfriend and I walked out of the toy store with them on and the guys were waiting. We got to laughing so hard at each other we sat down on that bench outside. The next thing you know a lady came out from the restaurant and said this is definately a kodak moment. She took a piture of all four of us and then each couple. She was into the whole thing as much as us! (I'm going to add that picture to this page for you to see). The picture next to it is a a Sox game in Chicago.

Hi Alicia, sorry to hear about the snow. I would love to have a little more winter and a less summer here, so how bout we trade. I would love to have some winter pictures like I see around but I also know what a mess snow can be, I lived in Nebraska for 7 years :) good years :) Texas has fields of bluebonnets this time of year :) so pretty. The field I used was a friends fathers land, he said that was nothing compared to a couple years ago, could see blue forever :) Kinda cool.

Alicia.......you have already added so much to your site. It looks great and it is wonderful way to get to better know you thru your family images. Today, I spent time on the "My Passions' page. I lost my Dad to cancer in December 2006. Non-smoker all his life and lived very healthy....was such an unfair claiming of his life. Thank you for your involvement in finding a cure. God Bless You! Hi there, Your site is really growing and so reflective of, I suspect, a wonderful personality :) I love all the pictures, Miss Kaylee is adorable :) You had said that sometimes the family doesn't like the picture taking as much, I have an idea about that, most of the time those people are th every ones that want to see it when you've uploaded it :) That's the way it works here. My coworkers have come to depend on me to take pictures :) I love taking them and I love looking at others, everyone brings something different to the picture :)

I lvoe all the new pictures on here, it's growing right before my eyes, love, love that!! I was born in St. Claire County Illinois, Air Force / Army Base around there. We lived in IL for 3 or 4 years, then Texas and then Turkey and then.........while I could go on and on but we moved alot because the military (my Dad). I love Chicago, I've been there twice as an adult and thought it was wonderful. I think Texas is kinda boring too. But San Antonio and the Coast are awesome. Hurrican Ike kinda destroyed alot of Galveston, we love going there but won't be again for awhile, they are rebuilding, it's so sad.
I say take as many pictures as Miss Kaylee will allow, it doesn't hurt a thing. Kyleigh wouldn't know how to act if I weren't pointing a camera at her :)
