Nancy Dean Kreger welcomes you!
Nancy Dean Kreger of Santa Fe, New Mexico, has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Design and has been an artist since kindergarten. She works in a variety of mediums but her specialties are watercolor painting, photography, pen & ink line drawing, calligraphy and 3-D soft sculpture character dolls.
The watercolors by Nancy Dean Kreger evolved while painting with Evelyne Boren in Provence 2007 and Tuscany 2008. Painting on location in places that feed one’s soul stirs creativity. Her watercolors are infused with rich vivid color and touches of charcoal to make things pop!
Kreger Design Build (www.kregerdesignbuild.com), which she owns with her husband, Bob, currently utilizes her talents as a Visual Designer in the choices and application of finishes in a custom home .
Past creative ventures for Nancy Dean Kreger include Salmon Falls Artisans Showroom in Shelburne Falls, MA. This gallery was created by Nancy in 1985 featuring approximately 150 regional artists and fine craftspeople. The setting is an historic post and beam grain building overlooking the Deerfield River. Her gallery was written about in The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Boston Globe, Yankee Magazine and the Chronicle Show on Channel 5 TV in Boston. One of her "Intimate Concerts" at her gallery was mentioned on the radio show, "Prairie Home Companion"! Nancy was also a Guest Curator of an Invitaional Handmade Furniture Show at the Fitchburg (MA) Art Museum in the spring of 1991 before moving to Santa Fe. Her charactor dolls were invited to be part of an International Doll Show . Nancy has taught private art lessons, run an after school program at a private school, created unique commercial art, made hand-lettered invitations with personalized pen & ink borders and was the art director of an annual summer program for gifted kids at a museum in Old Deerfield, MA.
