Become a Certified Futsal Referee
All New England Futsal Leagues and Tournaments are officiated by US Futsal certified referees. Referees are certified and recertified on an annual basis.
The next available certification and recertification course will be held Sunday, September 20 – 5:00pm until 8:00pm in the Roger Williams University Recreation Center Conference Room at Roger Williams University, 1 Old Ferry Rd., Bristol, RI
Fill out and mail in the Referee Registration Form, found in the left hand column of this page, to place your seating reservation at the Septmebr 20th Referee Certification / Re-certification course.
After completing the annual course work all referees must register directly with US Futsal, in order to obtain your unique official US Futsal ID, insurance verification, CORI screening and badge.
You must issue your US Futsal ID to us prior to receiving any assignments

Types of Futsal Referee Clinics
The Entry Level Clinic (Grade 10) is a certification course for new referees or referees with a Soccer Federation Referee Certification or NISOA Certification. This is a one day course with a final written exam.
The Re-certification Clinics are for current Grade 10 futsal referees. This is an annual requirement.
- The Intermediate Clinic is for current Futsal referees requesting an upgrade.
To maintain a Grade 10 status after one year a referee must:
Request and pass an evaluation based on performance at a good level of quality.
- Conclude a re-certification clinic and a final exam with a score of 75% or higher.
The Recertification clinics:
Cost $35.00 for the clinic. All referees must pre-register.
