LEAGUE THIS YEAR.
As we truly believe that all who participated are winners and will be recognized at our
CYFL BANQUET AND AWARDS SATURDAY, April 21, we would like to recognize the finalists
will be both recognized and receive at medal at our CYFL BANQUET which will take place
Saturday, April 21th at Whites of Westport from 5:30pm to 9pm.

The Catholic Youth Division Championships will be held on Saturday 3/24/2012. This is a week earlier than originally planned but due to overwhelming requests to have playoffs earlier by coaches and parents because the outdoor spring soccer season starts on 3/31 -4/1 we felt it would be best for all.
All teams will play in a jamboree single elimination tournament for ages U10-U14.
The Pre-K - U8 Program is non-standings based and those teams will play in a friendly jamboree against other teams in their age division. Teams will play shortened mini-games.
Schedules for playoffs and Jamborees will be posted after the 3/17 games have been completed.
In recording scores during the season some U8 scores were unintentionally uploaded from games. The Coordinators and league directors in 2010 voted to make the U8 division non-standings based to promote fair play in a division where physical developmental differences give an unfair advantage to some teams. That difference between first and second graders is well noted in eductation, physical education and medical research. Please note that we are very proud of the success of each individual player and we know that our families and Catholic community always promote and encourage their respective school teams. We apologize formally if any confusion may have been caused with the few scores that were posted.
Each team is assigned to take pictures 30 minutes before the game.
Please arrive 30 minutes before your game this Saturday January 28th. Have your player bring in the envelope or online form with payment in check, cash, money order or credit card to photo day.
Please arrive on time so there are no delays on your game.

Catholic Youth Futsal League Schedule 2012
The Catholic Youth Futsal League schedule can now be found on EZLEAGUES. Please do NOT distribute schedules to families until the second week of league games as there will be glitches in the posted schedule that will need correction.

U8 Holy Name Blue will have a BYE this week and a make-up game will be added to the schedule. This is due to a prior request that could not be met as to the later Start time this weekend.
Schedules should be checked frequently as the schedule will change based on the interscholastic schedules of Dufee High School and Bishop Connolly. Times and locations of games should be checked up to the day of the games!
Both Bishop Connolly and Durfee High School will be used for games, SO PLEASE CHECK SCHEDULES!!!

In the Eighth Season of our Catholic Youth Futsal League we are pleased to inform that we will continue using our successful 12 WEEK PROGRAM FORMAT.
AGE GROUPS/DESCRIPTION
PRE K ( 3 and 4 years old ) – ACADEMY STYLE.
Students will train and play friendly games on Saturdays.
NO SCORING WILL BE KEPT.
UNDER 6 – Students will train and play friendly games on Saturdays.
As the season goes on, training will be reduced as more playing time will be allocated.
NO SCORING WILL BE KEPT.
UNDER 8 – Students will train and play games for the first three weeks.
No training the following 8 weeks.
NO SCORING WILL BE KEPT.
UNDER 10;12;14 – Teams will scrimmage the first 3 weeks.
Teams will compete the following 8 weeks.
ALL TEAMS WILL PARTICIAPTE IN A FESTIVAL STYLE PLAY-OFF.
SCORES WILL BE KEPT.

The fees will be the same as the previous years.
$85 per player; $65 for a second child from the same family.

February 5 Game Schedule Updates
Please check your team schedules as there have been changes due to facility changes as Durfee is hosting a wrestling competition on Saturday, February 5. Games will be played at Kuss Middle School for CYFL U10, U12, and U14. There are no games this weekend for any Pre-k, U6, or U8 teams. CYFL games for some U14's will also be played at Bishop Connolly.
In addition there will be some other changes made to the schedules for U10 and U12 for the following weeks over the coarse of the next couple of days as teams had been added after the start of the competitive play so check the remainder of the season schedules this weekend for 2/12 and 3/5.

Changes to schedule will be difficult to make unless absolutely necessary as each change may effect the entire schedule for the day.
Games and times are subject to change so please check schedule often especially on Friday evenings prior to games. Please understand that the facilities used to run the leagues are school property and schools have priority for use of their own facilities when needed.
Parents please supervise non-participating children at all times. Children should not be left unsupervised at any location. In addition, proper safety precautions need to be enforced. Children should not be running up and down bleechers, nor should they be jumping on school equipment. Please be respectful of the facilities and property we are allowed to have access to.

2010 - 2011 SEASON LEAGUE FEES
We are happy to announce the player registration fees for the season have been kept low to encourage every Catholic School student the opportunity to participate. The fee per player for the 2010-2011 season is $85.00 for the first child and $65 for addition siblings. The fee includes a 12 week session, three scrimmages, eight league games, and play-offs. In addition, every player to receive a game t-shirt to proudly represent their school.

CYFL UPDATES FOR 2010-2011
School coordinators met on 09/27/2010 and report the following updates for the 2010-2011 CYFL league season.
The season will run as one session for a total of 12 weeks.
The format will be 3 weeks of preseason scrimmages, roster freeze, 8 weeks of league games, and then playoffs
Prek-U6 will be a non-standings grouping for the full 12 weeks, first 3 weeks will have a training component for the first 25 minutes on game day done by New England Futsal Association staff. Last nine weeks will be regular games.
Total season fee to play is $85. per player. $65.per additional sibling
After registration if numbers allow we will consider seperating PreK players from U6 and run them seperate as Jr. Academy. "IF NUMBERS ALLOW'
Age maximum for the league must meet both the following requirements:
Players must be enrolled in 8th grade and meet the USYSA/MASS YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION cut off date for U14 which is 8/1/1996. Any exception to the rule must be approved at a meeting of the league administrators and school coordinators. High school players can register as a full high school team in High School division.
There is no double rostering between any teams in the league.
Players are allowed to move up one age group if they are "dominating" play in their age division. However, they must be "superior in ability" compared to their peers and compatable physically. This must be approved by the school coordinator.
All players, parents, coaches, and coordinators must sign off on a pledge and code of conduct based on the founding premises and Mission Statement of the league.
All rosters must be signed by coach, coordinator and principal before being approved by the league.
All "At Large" players are entered into a pool and are distributed to teams by league administrators
The league has adopted “THE RULE OF 50”, all players are required to play 50% of all games. This rule will be strictly enforced and monitored.
Coaches are required to attend two pre-season training sessions run by NEFA staff. Coach Bill to determine those dates.
Site/League Administrator to have parent, player, coach meeting at start of every session on first day of league to address appropriate conduct, Zero Tolerance Policy, "Rule of 50", and referees
