Sigma Nu's Epsilon Eta chapter is in the midst of construction on a new state of the art fraternity house. The old, dilapidated, and worn facility at 1824 Fraternity Park Drive came to a crashing end on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. The new house is scheduled to open in Spring 2010. Visit this site often for updates, pictures, and information as it is being built!

I was in the first group that lived in that house. This is the second Sigma Nu house I have seen torn down to make way for a new facility. It certainly is sad; the uniqueness of that house made it very special to me.
There are a lot of stories in that rubble! Thanks to all the brothers who helped make this day possible!

These photos remind me of the final scene in Carrie when her house implodes and is reduced to rubble.

I was in the pledge class of Fall '66, and we were initiated by Cmdr. John Tindall in Jan '67 in the house before it was finished. John C. Rader and Michael Faulman, among others, spent the night in the Chapter Room before the rug was installed. It's strange to see the buldozed tearing it down, but I will look forward to the new house!

I wonder if they found that red-tailed boa that got loose years ago.

So long to an old friend. Welcome to the new. It's a bit sad seeing the old place on the ground. I still remember walking proudly in the chapter room for the first time with my pledge pin on. While lot's of memories are within the old walls, I'm sure the new house will be a huge shot in the arm for the current active brothers and pledges and will serve as a rock on which to continue our chapter heritage. This is a great step for Epsilon Eta chapter. I salute all those who have worked so hard to make the new house a reality!

As a former House Manager, it is with some regret that I see the end of a place with so many memories. It was my home for three years on campus, and will remain part of me forever.
I look forward to a new era beginning next year. Thanks to the many brothers who over the last decade have rebuilt our alumni chapter to the point where this effort is possible.
