What a week we had. The Focus and Intent were Finding Tranformation through Dancing with The Elements and they didn't disappoint us! We had storm and rain, rainbows and lighting, marble size hail and of course the absolute splendor of the Sun sparkling on the Aegean and transforming the Light in to one of it's brightest spectrums.
I know we are all deeply touched! You stepped into unknown territory, you shared, you cried, you laughed and you danced.

LETTING ROSY KNOW WHEN YOU WILL BE ARRIVING

I have asked Rosy for the Ferry schedule so as soon as I receive it I will post it here!
If you let Rosy know which ferry or Flying Dolphin you will be taking from Pireaus she will know what time you will arrive in Skala (ferry) or Milos (Dolphin) and somebody will be there to pick you up. No taxis on Agistri so this is great!
Her cell # 0030 - 6974394150 ( all european phonenumbers starting with a 6 are cell phones.
If you are not using your own cell or a global cell phone you can from a public phone and buy a calling card from any of the kiosks you will find all over Athens and Pireaus.
For both the Ferry or the Dolphing you have to go to the Saronic Gulf Gate in Pireaus. The bus stop is very near by and the taxi will drop you of at the entrance.
The bus # is X96, tickets are 3.20 Euro and the little kiosk will open right before the bus leaves. Taxi will cost you between 40-50 Euro but will be a lot faster.
The ferry to Aegina and Agistri will be straight ahead from the gate. Don't get off in Aegina! Aegina is the first stop and his a good size harbor and a busy promenade, this is not Agistri....
The Flying Dolphin leaves from the same gate but you have to turn left and walk a little ways. The FD goes straight to Agistri! Lot faster than the ferry but nothing to look at, no beautiful views of islands appearing in the distance.....

Preparing for Greece!
Dear All, with my departure to Greece now less than 3 weeks away I feel myself more and more transferring to Greece already, Body, Mind Spirit and Emotion!
From now on start checking this site regularly as I will update it with travel info, more in depth insights of what Nidhi and I will be presenting to you and some practical details.
Today it will be some more practical infromation.
The retreat starts on Saturday at 5 pm. We will gather, introduce ourselves, step into the week and dance!
The last class will be at 5 pm on Friday, that night being your last night in the village. Morning classes will be at 9 am and afternoon classes at 5 pm.
The weather will most likely be very pleasant with opportunities to swim, remember to bring some type of watershoe as the area around Rosy's is rocky rather than sandy. You might also need a pair of shoes for the dancefloor. Yes normally we dance Nia barefoot but this is a concrete floor which is too rough for most people. This is a compromise but it will be offset by the most spectacular views. Bring at least one lightweight sweater for the evenings when it will cool off.
On Thursday evening we normally all descend upon Limenaria a small authentic village where we will eat at the only taverna around and dance to Greek music. For tha evening's class we will break out the most beautiful clothes we brought and decorate our bodies with paint, glitter and rhinestones. This is the Celebration of our Bodies, outr Spirits and of our time together!

The idea of offering to share this unique retreat, whilst enjoying the beauty and serenity of an enchanting Greek island, was born in 2008/2009. Having participated in a Nia workshop on the island of Agistri, I found after 30 years of living in Greece, that I had fallen in love again with this land. I was so inspired by the people I met there, the magic of this place, the beauty of the surroundings, the fresh breezes wafting in from the bay, the scent of fresh herbs and trees ~ all woven into a tapestry which inspires us to remember our oneness with nature and all that there is. A reconnection to our true essence and bliss ~ irresistible!
The universe then brought the gift of my Nia White Belt training and through the wonderful connection between Irena and myself ~ Crystal Clear Nia was born!

Dates for Nia in Greece 2010!
Dear Friends,
I have an exciting announcement beside the dates for 2010 which will be October 9 -15. My beautiful friend Nidhi and I have decided to present this retreat together. Those of you who met Nidhi in 2008 and 2009 on Agistri during the retreat know what an added delight this will be. Nidhi is a Holistic therapist who works with the Crystal Clear Energy Balancing Concept and we believe this to be a natural match with Nia. Nidhi is also a Nia White Belt and took the training last year as she believes that Nia fits perfectly into her Crystal Clear Energy Concept, an important part of which is movement.
I am looking forward to sharing the powerful beauty of Agsitri with you, dancing so close to the water it is mindboggling. We will fill up our senses and let this energy transcend into our daily activities of walking, swimming, socializing and eating wholesome meals. Truly Living Life as Art. Magical moments will occur with such frequency that it will become a state of being.

Welcome to the 2010 site for Nia in Greece.
Nia in Greece is entering it's fifth year. Every year more people come away from this retreat on Agistri being transformed by the experience of dancing outdoors.There is also a sense of renewal and a connection made to the self on a deeper level.
The view from the dance floor is breathtaking, islands in the distance basking in the most illuminating rays of sunlight. The sound of the waves lapping at your feet and actually looking into the water simply can make you feel as if all boundaries have faded away.

Irena - I had the best time in Athens in 2008 when meeting up with 2 other NIA travellers and having dinner. It started our bonding before we ever got to Agistri. I will be arriving in Athens two days before we move on to Agistri. If you know of any other friends that will be in Athens ahead of time, please forward my info to them if they would like to have dinner or explore the town together. Dear All, I know some of you are starting to get in the mood for this trip which is now a merely 7 weeks away. Questions about how to get to island and posssibly meeting others in Athens are coming up regularly. I think this site is a great place for people to connect before the retreat, ask questions and compare travel plans and dates etc.
Soon I will be posting ferry times. If you haven't bought your ticket yet, Delta is offering a really good deal through New York, JFK with a 9.20am arrival time. This will give you plenty of time to get to the island before you will enjoy your first delicious evening meal from Rosy's kitchen!

Dear Friends,
I am Hamburg Germany right now with Nidhi and we have been planning our time with you in Greece. We have done some great energy work here together and we also took Nia classes with the awe inspiring Ann Christiansen, Nia Black Belt and Trainer. The powerful healing I received from dancing with her showed me again the magic of Nia, always evolving, always presenting us with new possibilties for our physical, emotional and spiritual well being.
Also receiving Nidhi's love and knowledge fills me with Gratitude. Irena
How can I express my feelings of Gratitude also to Irena!? Having her here in Hamburg ~ dancing together, laughing, healing and rejuvenating our inner wise woman.
