Nomads end the season with a win against Treasure Coast United (2-0)
The U-13 team ended their season with a 2--0 victory over the Treasure Coast United. The players demonstrated great passing and ball control throughout the game. At the half the teams were tied at 0-0. In the middle of the second half the Nomads took the lead after a great play on a corner kick. With great team work the players were able to again come down the field in the forth quarter and score. They did an excellent job and ended the season on a great note. The now prepare for the Winter/Spring season in the South Florida Youth Soccer Association, Broward League. Way to go Nomads! Throughout the season the players have fought injury and illness; but they never let it get to them. The end result was a well played game of soccer.
Real Madrid Lake Worth tie 0-0
Although the team played a man down throughout the game, they never let that bother them. It was a great game with outstanding performances by all the players. The officials at the end of the game said that they let the game go over for 2 minutes because it was such a good game. There was numerous plays in which the Nomads took control. The final comment by the head referee was that "the boys played like lions." Although it was not a victory it was an excellently played game.
PBSA V Boynton Beach (0-3)
It was a very hot Sunday out at Magic Jack. Thew team has almost all of its members back from injury this week and had 2 guest players from another U-13 Nomads Girls team. It was a rough game and the players were aggressive and had a number of good plays; but in the end they were unable to score and took the loss 0-3.
Nomads fall to Hobe Sound playing a man down (1-6)
It was a hard fought game. Due to illness and broken bones the U-13 Boys team was unable to field a full squad on October 3rd but played anyhow. Even with a man down the Nomads scored in the opening quarter, however that was the only score for them on the game. The players worked hard throughout the game and were able to get a number of great plays going.
Nomads win over Wellington Wave Blue (3-2)
The U13 boys team was joined by 5 members if the U12 boys team and 1 member of the U13 girls team this week as they defeated the Wellington Wave 3 to 2. The team played very well with great passing and communication. The first goal was scored in the first quarter by the Nomads, and then Wellington scored during the second quarter. The second goal by the Nomads was scored right before the end of the first half. During the second half both team scored one goal.
It was a great game by all and the U13 team is thankful to all of those who participated.
Loss against Boyton Beach Knights (1-4)
This was the first game for the U-13 team this season. The boys played hard throughout the game. scored the first goal in the middle of the first quarter and then scored towards the end of the second quarter. At the half the teams were 1-1. The second half of the game was played primarily in the rain with three goals scored by . For their first game, the PBSA U-13 team did a fine job on passing and the goalie and defense had a good games.
