Still unbeaten!
Congratulations to the Youth Varsity team, their back-ups/training partners, and the coaches for another undefeated season at Louisville. And good luck to all the All-Stars at this Sunday's tournament.
Sweet victory
With several of our varsity members in Pa. for a big tournament, the second team had to step up. And they REALLY stepped up. North Canton is still undefeated pulling off a win against GlenOak 53-47 that came all the way down to the final match! That's why our picture of the week is Chase who was cool under pressure. Congratulations to everyone!
Still on a roll
We had another win Sunday for the varsity at Louisville, while the team went 2 and 4 at the Perry tournament on Saturday. There will be more photos to come from Louisville, but I'm out of time today. Check back Wednesday...
Still going strong
The varsity continues to roll at Louisville beating the home team Sunday by a huge margain while our All-Stars continue to improve. Way to go everyone!
Busy weekend
N.C. Youth Varsity looked strong Saturday with a second place finish to Norton at the Jackson Holiday Tournament. Hunter Deshon was named tournament MVP as he finished 5-0 with 5 pins.
Congratulations to Hunter. My choice for picture of the week is Chase Haubert who also had a great day and pinned his opponent with a smile on his face.
At Louisville on Sunday, the varsity team got a nail-biting win against Carrollton, 52-49. Too close for comfort!
Off to a great start!
The North Canton Youth wrestlers are off and running with a 2-0 start at Louisville for the varsity, as well as some stand-out performances on our All-Star team. The varsity team also scored a 2nd place finish in Hudson last month where they faced big competition from all over the state. In addition, Coach Wymer and crew took 38 All-Star wrestlers to the Barberton Novice Tournament on Saturday and they collectively posted over 100 matches. Congratulations to all!
Re: You know you are a wrestling parent when...
Your first question to the boys Sunday wasn't, "How was your Christmas?" It was, "How much do you weigh?"
