Hello friends!  Just checking in with everyone.  Winter will soon be over and it won't be long before we get our bikes out for another fun season.  That reminds me, I need to drop my bike off for a tune up while the bike maintenance business is a little slow (thanks for the reminder Connie!).  We missed you last night at the BGI Ladies' Night Out.  Clara Duncan was one of the lovely models at the fashion show.  Oh, also, Dolly was one of the models.  I finally got to meet her too.  And...Connie surprised us with the unveiling of the "Nothing But Us Chicks" jerseys!  They are pink and white and so very nice looking.  Yes, you can purchase yours at BGI. I'm happy to have mine.  The food was excellent and there was plenty of it.  We missed you.  Connie also told us that the ride will start up again in May, only a few months away.  Exciting news.  Looking forward to riding with you all again soon.  I will be posting a few pictures from last night too.  Happy weekend! 

Hi!  Pattie and I rode the Monon on Thursday evening (we missed the rest of you chicks).  You missed seeing Pattie's new bicycle.  Now she is a speed demon.  I knew this day would come when I couldn't keep up with her.  OMG!  She flew up the hilly bridge over Carmel Drive.  I was struggling to stay up with her on the way to Broad Ripple.  I was feeling a little depressed - it's okay though.  I'm hoping I was slow only because I ran 4.5 miles in the morning before work.  And a 20 mile bike ride after work was almost like training for a duathlon.  :) See pictures of her new wheels below.  Looking forward to catching up with all of you again soon.

Tonight was the official Season Finale of the Nothing But Us Chicks Ride.  What wonderful friendships and memories were made this summer.  I didn't get to ride tonight because I pulled a muscle in my back (or something) but showed up to take the Season Finale pictures!  Someone else will have to add comments about tonight's ride.  I will upload a few videos that I took before the ride.  Ladies let's get together soon for dinner or another ride on the weekend.  The summer went by too fast!  Thanks for my best summer ever in Indy!  ~ Johnine

Where have all the "chicks" gone???  Ridership was meager again...just Natasha, Connie and I.  But still a great ride, thanks again Connie!!

Our numbers were meager tonight...just Sharon, Sean and I, but it was a very fun ride.  I rented a Giant road bike from BGI's... whoda thunk you could do such a thing???!!!  It opened up a whole new world for me!!  Going downhill was WOOHOO!!! And the uphill was completely different than riding my tank of a comfort bike! (Sorry comfort bike...nothing personal!!!)  I had a blast!

Tonight's ride was great as usual, led by our fearless leader Connie.  Thanks Connie.  We even had an impromtu class on fixing a flat!  (An unplanned pitstop!)  No problem though, it was handled expertly.  I did take video of the experience and if I can figure out how to upload (or download) it... I will do it!

Tonight was an awesome ride with some incredible hills.  Fortunately we got to ride the killer hills first and it made the hills at the end of the ride seem so much easier.  Fun fun fun.  Thanks Connie for taking us on a new adventure.  I'm actually starting to look forward to the hills (did I really write that OMG!). 

Sharon, Sean, Natasha, Pattie and Molly (a newby) showed up for the ride.  It wasn't uneventful though... Natasha blew a tube over the bridge on Olio Rd. going over the reservoir!  However, unlike last time we had a mishap like this...the flat was changed in approximately 5 minutes.  Thanks to Natasha's and Sean's Expertise (?)!!!  After that though, the ride was smooth!

Tonight's ride was fun.  We ended up riding 24 miles at a good pace.  Fall Creek Parkway is so beautiful.  Loved coming back through Broad Ripple and down the Monon although it was quite crowded.  Great ride.  Keith - glad you joined us.  Pleasure meeting you and especially listening to your Irish accent.  :)  Maria - glad you came back!  Kaylan, it's about time you joined us again.  Pattie we missed you.  Have a great week.  Be safe.

We are planning on meeting at Pattie's house on Thursday and riding around Geist Lake.  Sounds like fun.  She will email us directions.  See you then.  :)

Last night's ride was so much fun.  I enjoyed meeting each and every one of you ladies.  I will become a pro on shifting up the hills on my new bike once I get it broken in a little more.  Enjoyed the comaraderie.  Hope to see you all again soon.
