International Photo Contest
Show us Your world through pictures!!
The international Student Office would like to invite international students to submit your photos in the 1st Annual International Photos Contest. You will be able to submit photos in 3 different categories.
International Students Categories:
(1 entry per category per person)
1. International Culture/Places (people, traditions, lifestyle, landscapes, seascapes, etc.)
2. Your Best NSU or Aberdeen Experience
3. US Sightseeing (the US from your perspective)
Contest Rules
Eligibility: Must be an international student studying at Northern State University
Photos: Must be the original work of the student. Please submit digital Jpeg photos in good resolution AND one hard copy 4” x 6” glossy print of each submission.
Software: You may use software to enhance your photos, but do not change the content of the photo.
Deadline: Friday, November 6th, 2009
Submission: Please complete the entry form and email the form and photos to: slschmidt@northern.edu. Also turn in the hard copy of the photo(s) to Stacey Schmidt, Lincoln Hall Room 106.
A maximum of 3 photos per student may be submitted.
Only photographs on standard 4x6 paper will be accepted.
Photos must be labeled with title, location where the photo was taken and the students complete contact information.
All photographs must be accompanied by the official entry form.
Hard copy photographs should be in an envelope with the student’s name.
Digital photos should be submitted as JPEG files.
Permission: Submitting a photo you are granting the ISO free permission to use, reproduce and distribute your photos in displays related to the contest, future printed and electronic publications or promotional material and the right to use your name when giving credit to the photographer.
Winners: Pictures will be posted in the student center during International Education Week, November 16-20th. Everyone will be able to vote for the best pictures. Prizes will be awarded in each category.
Congratulations to those of you that won the costume contest and to Sungbo for winning the carving. You all did a great job.
Just wanted to let you know that since the pumpkins were donated, the money you spent to order a pumpkin was spent on purchasing the tools for the carving and the prizes.
