Great pictures that have been posted on a Wildcats Facebook page.
The formation of this club in 2010 was to provide another opportunity for the students of Neuqua Valley High School to participate in a spring sport.
2011 was another successful year with a winning league record in our first year in tier 2. We achieved our goal of making the playoffs, unfortunately losing in the first round to the state runner up. We also finished 3 rd in the Freshman/Sophomore tournament.
2012 will see us compete in tier 2 again and looking to win the State Championship. For the first time there will be an official Freshman/Sophomore league with a state final. So far there are 9 teams including us. We will also be fielding a development side and if we continue to grow, we will enter a 4th team in tier 3. Our policy is to not turn anyone away but to make sure everyone gets plenty of playing time.
The Neuqua Wildcats are part of the Naperville Youth Rugby program which also includes the Naperville Crusaders Jr. High team. We are members of the Illinois Youth Rugby Association, and the USA Rugby union. Therefore we fall under their jurisdiction and abide by their guidelines, rules, and regulations.
