As media literacy is increasingly recognized as a vital 21st century core skill for students to have, what you do as a media teacher couldn’t be more important. And now, it’s that time of year again! It’s time to think about sharing the results of all your students’ hard work with other high school student filmmakers!

ANNOUNCING THE 2011 NW HIGH SCHOOL FILM FESTIVAL !!
May 24,2011, 10AM-1PM, doors open at 9:15
WHERE: CINERAMA THEATER, in downtown Seattle
Last year, our festival was such a big success, with over 550 students attending, the Cinerama Theater has invited us back again! And this time, the Cinerama is an even better, state of the art, professional theatre with surround sound and brand new all digital projection equipment. Imagine how students will feel having their films shown to a packed audience in a real public movie theater, (including movie theater concessions for that true American movie going experience!)
BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!
While the theater holds roughly 800 people, we expect we may have an even larger audience this year due to the wild success of last year’s event. If you think you may be able to attend with your classes, please fill out the contact info form to help us in our planning. Even if you are not sure, go ahead and let us know you are thinking about it by filling out the form.
