Thank you for visiting the website of the Northwest Nationals Girls 99 Red team, the 2012 United States Youth Soccer (USYS) state champion in Washington for the girls U-12 age group. The head coach for the team for its U-13 competitive season is Eugene Poublon. Tim and Monti Porter jointly serve as the Team Managers for the squad. The team competes in the nine-team First Division of the Regional Club League (RCL) for its U-12 age group. According to GotSoccer.com, the NWN G99 Red team is ranked #1 in Washington and #100 nationally as of April 4, 2012.
The Road to Phoenix:
The Nationals captured the USYSA state championship for Washington U-12 girls by defeating the Crossfire Premier G99A (Crum) squad 3-2 on May 6, 2012 at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila. Following a 2-2 deadlock after two scoreless 10-minute overtime periods, the Nationals earned the state title by converting their first four kicks from the mark while their opponents could not convert two of their first four shots. The Nationals will represent the state of Washington in the USYS Far West Regional tournament on June 18-24 in Phoenix, Arizona.
