immature redtailed hawk
I think this hawk bonked his head in the woods. he came waddling up through the backyard to the south deck. look at his eyes. he looks like he has a concussion. he flew away about 15 minutes later
pileated woodpecker
every spring I get a few of these coming around the house. a big, loud bird.
pheasant
I was driving past and saw two pheasants beside the road. once I got turned around they were well on their way to disappearing.
hawk on a wire
I see this hawk in the vacinity fairly often.

a crappy picture of an oriole. I have one come around every year in the spring.

I thought it looked funny. all of these buzzards up on this tower.

angela saw him as we were heading into town. he was really too far away but I had to get a shot anyway. in the field just east of roscoe's house this past november.

once again, I look out the studio window and there's a critter. this time it's a groundhog on the deck.

a very hot squirrel
on a very hot day in august of '08 I saw this squirrel sprawled out on a tree limb in the swamp. another 'shot through the studio glass' picture.
