Some of my favorite movies:

Aliens... Ellen Ripley is back... and this time her panties fit. Dang.

Constantine... Keanu Reeves (Keith Ragoo) as evil spirit fighter John Constantine, Tilda Swinton as a Very Creepy Arch Angel Gabriel and Peter Stormare as a bloated, overly mascaraed, a bit too moist, Satan.

The Dark Knight... If nothing else, Heath Ledger's Joker was Incredibly Brilliant.

Dead Man... Jonny Depp in a marvelous role as William Blake (not the poet). Also with Billy Bob, Iggy Pop, Crispin Glover, Robert Mitchum & Lance Henriksen. A Jim Jarmusch film in B&W. Music by Neil Young. Fantastic. Creepy.

Snatch... Brad Pitt as Mickey the gypsy boxer and Jason Statham as Turkish the boxing promotor. "How long with them sausages, Charlie?" - This really is one of the funniest flicks ever. Hilarious. See It!

Pulp Fiction... Prank Call, Prank Call. Too many great scenes to even begin to describe.

Off Limits... Willem Dafoe and Greg Hines as American plain clothes MPs in Saigon during the Viet Nam "police action".

Call Me... First time I ever saw Steve Buscemi also Steve McHattie and Patricia Charbonneau. A modern film noir.

Fargo... Again with Buscemi. Also with Peter Stormare as a psychotic wood chipper and Frances McDormand as the pregnant sheriff.

Jacob's Ladder... I don't care for Tim Robbins but the movie grabbed me anyway. Creepy stuff.

Domino... Keira Knightley as female bounty hunter Domino. Also with Mickey Rourke. What's not to like?!

Leon The Professional... Jean Reno, Natalie Portman, Gary Oldman. Hitman with a heart befriends waif... and Gary Oldman hates waif befriending.

Smokin' Aces... Chris Pine in a ventriloquistic scene with a dead Ben Affleck, a high point for me.

Vamp... Grace Jones as The Vampire Queen. I think this might border on type casting.

Honorable Mentions:

Alpha Dog, Angel Heart, Black Snake Moan, Blood Diamond, Chicago 10, Chronicle of Riddick, The Departed, Easy Rider, Eastern Promises, The Fifth Element, Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Tears of the Sun, Tombstone.

Oh! I gotta mention the scene in Dusk to Dawn where Michael Parks (the sheriff) chats with the guy behind the counter and later homicidal maniac, Richie (Tarantino) swears the counter guy told the sheriff "Help Me" and the counter guy frantically screams that he didn't.

Juliette Lewis is freaky. Sweeeeet.

And when did Jeff Bridges become "America's Most Beloved Actor"? I like the guy and all but dang... the last time they gave that award was to like Wilford Brimley I believe. Them's some Big Shoes to fill Bridges (not to mention the moustache).

ART...

Some of my favs: Rafal Olbinski, Will Rafuse, Mark Ryden, Gockel, Kandinsky.

Also dig Dias De Los Muerte' artwork.

P.S. I love Grateful Dead artwork...  a r t w o r k.

TELEVISION...

Don't get me wrong. It's not like I stop whatever it is I am doing to sit and watch TV. I do not. These are some shows I stumbled into while walking through the house:

CougarTown... Actually pretty funny. I was surprised.

$&!# My Dad Says... Another surprise. Funny stuff from Willy Shatner.

Modern Family... Yet another well done sitcom. Hard To Believe.

Raising Hope... Man, this one is incredibly out there! See it.

Fringe... I should have added this one a year ago. BEE ZAR

My favorite cartoons... Warner Bros.   Roadrunner & Wile Coyote, Bugs Bunny, Sylvester, DoDa, Yosemite Sam... Elmer Fudd as Brunhilde. Mesmerizing. Very Old School. Thanks to Mark for reminding me of Marvin the sputtering, angry Martian!

Do you realize how furious the playing was when Fred and Barney got bongo feet?

EATS

Some of my favs: Pizza, Mexican, Chinese. In that order.

Beverage of choice: [Diet] Mountain Dew... The Elixer of Life!

Edwards Key Lime Pie... To Kill For

BABY CAKES...

ATTENTION: BACON IS MEAT. Stop Burning It. Don't quote me warnings of a trichinella scourge. Cook bacon as a meat and the world will be a better place. I want texture, not crumble. Crumble = burnt!!!

So I'm driving down the road and I see a Large Van with a web adddress on it... F U M E T H .com. So I'm thinking it's a citizens against drug dealing or something. No, it is not. Franklin United Methodist. Huh.

I'm working on The Professional 8 Ball . You remember those 8 Ball thingys? Ask a question, shake it up, tip it upside down and voila... an answer. I figure they'll provide an accuracy rate above the norm any time you go to see a Doctor, Lawyer, IT Admin or Mechanic and I'm gonna price them competitively. With no co-pay! (in decorator colors too). In fact, stay home. Ask my Professional 8 Ball. Between that and the Internet who needs those knuckleheads? The only thing better would be to shake them up, tip them upside down and dare them for an answer!

Russel Brand is hilarious. I sure hope Katy doesn't impose too much structure on that.

Wanna get something done? Put George Clooney on it! Every network, every channel, two hours, no commercials, $60 million and counting...

I just read that Eminem is the biggest selling artist of this decade. Whaaa? Didn't see that coming.

What happened to swine flu? I thought it was going to be like the plague. People dropping dead in waves. Not that I'm not thankful but they sure built this one up to be something and then phhhhhhh, nada.

Most commercials suck. Someone spent a lot of money to create and deliver them to the consumer and the bulk of them are worse than lame. And just think... these are someone's best effort. I REALLY hate the "Christmas Song" commercials.

Do you really think Richard Gere did that thing? No, he did not. Nor did Frank Zappa, Alice Cooper, David Bowie and/or Rod Stewart do 'those' things. Stop telling those stories.

Haven't heard much from the Somolia Pirates lately, have we? It's all fun and games until the United States Sniper Guys show up...

Why did my Grand Father buy horehound candy? #1 I'm embarrassed to say it. #2 It tastes like gasoline mixed with vapo rub. vapo-leen. Good Choice. "Here you go little children who expect something sweet and savory... pop it in your mouths, rub it on your chest. Just be sure to stay away from open flame". Yummy.

Great grandmothers spinach. OMG BARF... slime with vinegar.

I saw a girl with tats all over her chest. Can breasts be improved upon with ink? Do they really need that "something extra" to put them over the top, make them special? No, they do not.

Sly and the Family Stone. Highly Underated.

Rick Ruben and the RHCP... i n c r e d i b l e

CSI Vegas has improved a hundred fold since Lawrence Fishburne joined the cast. Did you know he was Cowboy Curtis on Pee Wee's Playhouse?

I do love pizza. And Whitts in Hope is the universal best. Eat One!

I hate roadside trash. What planet are those idiots from that littering is hunky dory? Die a thousand deaths litterbugs!

Reese's Big Cup Peanut Butter Cups  R O C K  but why are the Resse's products scattered all over the store? It's like a scavenger hunt just to find what you're after. Sometimes I just give up and buy a Krispy Kreme raspberry filled. Take that Reese's!

I don't wear jewelry. Not even a watch. It bugs me.

I don't "get" whistling.

I hate it when people block aisleways at stores. Do these same people just stop in the middle of the road to gawk at things? Maybe so.

WalMart has become something of a social event for me.

I think Jonny Depp is fantastic. BUT, what is that accent? He's from, like, Liberty, Kentucky or something. I fully expect a "Gov'na" out of him at any moment.

Learn to build a campfire, learn to drive in the snow, learn to drive a nail.

Mow your yard, rake your leaves, shovel your snow.

Do not be hornswaggled.

Be Punctual.

Be dependable, responsible and honest.

The End.
