Life is so crazy right now with our moves(3 moves in 3.5 weeks with Rob moving from the small Indiana apartment to the bigger family apartment, moving Joe into his 1st apartment in NY since he wants to continue to go to colllege and work here in NY, and then moving our family to IN finally.) I have been going on 36 hours stretches with like 2 hours of sleep and off running again. My body is so sore. I will try to catch up as soon as things calm down. Hope you had a wonderful Easter! :)

Barb, I hope all is well with you, and you are just having a break from the computer for a while! Your spring flowers are lovely, and that's what I have on too! Spring flowers! It still is not spring for some people I guess, we are wondering here, we get a few nice days, and then rain for a week, with unseasonably cold temperatures! The pictures on your second page are wonderful. They are much like I wanted to feature on my site Flying Geese of other photographers they are really neat how you did that. This, That and the other is a really neat site I started to ask about being a member, but thought it's like a family site and I thought that I shouldn't. His pictures are much like ours on our family site much older but I'm having printer trouble when I try to scan the photos and someone has taken a lot of my pictures.

Barb, I LOVE the giant magnolia photo overhead! It is gorgeous! I am sorry I haven't been to good at getting around lately to my share sites, but I finally caught up in the gallery, and am now making my way to some of my sites! I can't believe it is February already! The little snow drops and little yellow crocus have bloomed here already, and my tulips are about 6-7 inches tall already! I haven't even put out the rest of my last years flowers yet! I wanted somebody to get to see my Rose page, before I change it! And I haven't had the chance to make a page anyway! Our mother/daughter trip was a dream come true vacation. Everything was perfect. We had so much fun! South Beach Miami, FL is so beautiful. The Lincoln Road Mall is awesome. Have you ever been there? I looked it up now that I'm home and it was designed to be like 5th Avenue in NYC or like Rodeo Drive in LA. It was so amazing! The most beautiful people walk around there. Then the shops and cafes were so neat. Everyone has dogs and the dogs were all dressed up. It was fun to see. The South Beach Miami, FL beach was so blue, clear, clean, & amazing! The 1st day there I got some amazing photos of Marina on the beach. Marina was so impressed with the quality of my 1st new DSLR (Nikon D90) she said they look like professional photos. Its hard to get photos of Marina because she gets embarrassed if people are looking so she will be still for 1 then she starts walking away. Its a challenge and I wish I could get her to do different things and experiment with a photo shoot but like I said she gets embarrassed so I have to snap 1 or 2 and then when we are in another area and there aren't people then she will let me snap a few more. She also gets tense when I take photos of her but I did get a few really pretty ones that I love. Its funny because Marina will take the most beautiful self armshot photos but they are through mirrors or her head is part cut off but she is so relaxed and I wish she was like that when I took photos.
The cruise was action packed with so much fun. The entire trip we would go to bed at like 3AM and wake up like 6AM. We were on the go nonstop and we still didn't see the entire ship. I really wanted to get photos of the ship's different rooms but we ran out of time. I still haven't posted my photos yet from my new camera because my laptop's harddrive is almost at full capacity so I have to do some serious deleting to upload all the new ones. I'm hoping the day after xmas I can have time to delete and then upload all the new photos with my new camera.
Rob is home briefly. He has to leave on Christmas afternoon so I have to take him to the airport. He is sleeping now so I thought I would catch up with you. I had so much to do once I got home for the holidays. I wish I had at least 2 more weeks. Thank god Rob was here for 2 days to help me shop because I didn't even start shopping for my kids. We were in the car for 2 days straight, or waiting in lines, or shopping! YIKES! I am always done shopping the day after Thankgiving. I usually just have to pick up stocking stuff in December or I may have forget that I got 1 of my kids more stuff when I pull it all out and start wrapping so off to the stores in December to even it out. We came home in the wee hours Dec.20 and I had stacks of xmas cards and Shutterfly packages. I was like a kid in a candy store. Then I did 95 of my cards. I wish I had your new address. Please email it if you get a chance. The holidays are for a week so I still have time to send you greetings! LOL!

I know, it's a good time to reflect on the events of the past year (tragedy-laden 2010) while eating good food and imbibing large, er, moderate amount of alcohol.

Wow...I hear, see and feel Christas alll over your page! :0) I'm glad your move went well...I'm sorry for the tough times that moving seems to bring for just about anyone moving very far - between place to place! Yours was sad, and I know you took it hard....but also thankful that your lady friend from church was able to also hlep you to move on! I made some of Stacey's Christmas Popcorn tonight...it's going to set up over night...it's delish!
Only 6 more days and it will be Christmas! We are going to Steve's Dad's house for Christmas Eve. They do not get out and drive at night to much anymore, so for a twist we are bringing dinner to them! Then Christmas Day the kids will be over here to our house. I Can't wait!
I've been working on getting my camera ready for the weeekend... getting the batteries charged, formatting the memory card...etc...I think those of us that are picture takers are going to be geared up! :0)

Barb, You have so many wonderful Christmas photos on here, I hardly know where to begin!!! I was busier today than I thought I would be, and made it here late! I had a bunch of decorating and some photos for the bokeh challenge to take! I finally did put up a small tree and put out some of the few decorations that I had! It was a fun day though, I learned some new things on my camera thru the bokeh challenge! It was fun! Its been a really stressful week. We spent Sat. at the animal hospital with Bella. She was bleeding internally and super sick with vomiting up pure black tarry like vomit with it looked like coffee grounds. It was everywhere and she also had diarrea. She wasn't moving around at all. Bella was just laying there all pitiful all day! Then at night she was barking(she doesn't bark) and Marina took her out because she needed to go out from having diarrea. I was so scared and I looked online and it said it was blood and to get to the hospital. Its upper GI bleeding what we think is due to tearing from gettting into garbage. She has been rebelling since Rob moved away in August and has been getting in the garbage so we thought it was a blockage but none showed on the x-ray. They think its a tear, or a bleeding ulcer, pancratitis, or something else. They gave her anti vomiting meds then gave her fluids. Now she is being treated with meds at home that I have to administer 7 times a day and then feed her chicken and rice 4 times a day! She is improving thank God. If it was a blockage it would cost $3500 plus the $500 hospital visit. To make matters worse she ran off in the dark when Marina took her 2 nights ago. We searched for her all night and thought she either got run over or that she was running away to die. It was so scary. Then at 7am we gave up hope and opened the door and she ran in!

hello, sorry haven't been around all that much (or at all!). Recently had some major shoulder surgery done and typing isn't something that had been on top of my list. I am in my 7th week post surgery and feeling alot better. Still cant move my arm/shoulder all that much but it is getting there. Thanks for stopping by my site recently, and yes that was Brady's picture (s) you saw. He has really grown recently and my little toddler is becoming a boy.
I have been on shutterfly recently trying to get my holiday gifts all completed so i am not pushing the deadline. I did so many different projects this year, mug, calendar, magnet, my cards and of coarse books :).

Marina and I went to dinner and the movies last night. We had such a great time! It was a discount movie place and it was $6 for the movie, popcorn, & pop special! We went to see YOU AGAIN. It was funny. It been such a long time since we went to the movies together. I think it was to go see DEAR JOHN. Oh...actually...I think we did just go last month to see LIFE AS WE KNOW IT! OOPS....! LOL! The regular movies are so outrageous now....I think it was like $9 something a ticket. I was happy to go and see a movie we wanted to see at the cheaper theater.

That is amazing that your dad knew someone who was suppose to be on that team or go with them but didn't. I can imagine how shook up a town would be if they lost their entire college team, coaches, & fans in a plane crash in the 70's. Its so heartbreaking! You really should see the movie WE ARE MARSHALL. My husband and I were so touched by the entire story. Anyways, thanks so much for stopping by and for your emails this week. I sent you a reply the other day and I hope you got it. My AOL has been acting up so bad. Rob has sent emails from the library then will go to the apartment in Indianna and hours later I will get more emails. Rob was home for a few days and its ironic because we watched the movie WE ARE MARSHALL for the 1st time and it was all about the Marshall University in WEST VIRGINIA. I had no idea that in the 70's a college team, coaches, & fans in WEST VIRGINIA died in a plane crash! It was so sad! The movie was really good though! Did you ever watch it? If not, you should rent it someday!

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking THE LOVE OF MY LIFE page I created for Rob. I loved all your comments. Yes Rob was home this week for 3 days and 2 nights. We packed in so much in that little time. It was fun but went by way to fast. Now its only 10 days until his next visit! That visit will be 4 days and 4 nights I believe. I'm so excited and I check my new widget out throughout the day. Then I text, email, call, or write to Rob to let him know how much longer! LOL! :)
I added a few 2009 fall photos because its been raining almost all of October here in NY. The few days of sunshine we did have I was crazy busy and didn't have time to do any fun fall activities! Its so sad. We were hoping to squeeze in a quick visit to the pumpkin patch when he was home and then carve pumpkins but we ran out of time! :(

I am all excited with your site that has been reworked, replacing some images making the site much nicer! Some photographs explain themselves so well you don't need to add many details. The articles are interesting, and all the photographs are amazing! Barbara some site exist to bring you information, others to present opinions--your site covers a wide range of beautiful photographs in addition to both information and opinions. Thanks so much for stopping by! I wanted a widget so I can count down the time for Rob to come home again and then I quickly started a page but got busy and distracted! I'm glad you enjoyed what I put there so far! We have had a rough week with tons of bad news about friends and family. Its been especially hard on Rob being 500 miles away while all this is going on. He was so homesick that I looked online and found the most incredible deal for a train ride home. He will only be home for 3 days but we will cherish every moment. It will be Rob's 1st train ride and he's super excited! I always told him I wanted all of us to go on a train ride someday in the fall so we could enjoy all the scenery of the fall foliage. Its really going to be special and hopefully it won't be raining and it will be sunny so he can enjoy the beautiful colors of the leaves!
Anyways, I enjoyed your page and will look for some pretty fall 2009 photos to add to your page since I don't have any from this fall yet since I was so sick then its been raining forever! If we get to go to the pumpkin farm this weekend or this week when Rob comes home then I will add them! Your pages are so beautiful! Excellent job!

Hey Barb!! It was so much fun hosting everyone in our city this year! My sister Rhonda and I stayed in our trailer close to the balloon field...and everyone else were in the hotel.
This has been one of the warmest Septembers on record...and on Saturday it was getting so warm...the 3rd wave of balloons didn't take off! :0O
I've never known a Fiesta where it was to warm for balloons to take off....windy, rainy, yes...hot..in September - no! They fill up the field and the balloons take off, that is one wave and we have enough for 3 waves. The field it's self is the size of 5 football fields! It's huge! Anyway....we had storms build up in the evening...but the mornings were beautiful!
We all had a great time with each other and Wow...the passion of taking pictures were just contagious! I think the only picture we didn't get...that we should have...was one of all of our camera's on a blanket or something! We just had a grand time getting to know each other!
Keep an eye out...pictures will start popping up! :0)
And...I enjoy your site...that's why I come over, You have some really fun pictures and I sure enjoy looking! :0)

Hi Barb! How ya doing today? Wow..you were determined to be out there in those hot temps!! What a great show though...I love the old engine items from the past! Your homestead header is very cool! They say we are going to have a mild winter...but we've had 3 very good winters so far!

Marina and I went to IN again to visit Rob. The visit went by way to fast! We went to the Wizard of Oz festival and met the last 3 munchkins. Marina got their autographs and photos! One of the lollipops kids is now 90 years old! He was so adorable!
Rob was sick so we didn't get much sleep in Indianna because he was coughing all night then throwing up(Rob has the weakest gag reflex and if he coughs a few times it will make him gag and then throw up! I swear sometimes I feel like I'm married to a woman pregnant with triplets with morning sickness! LOL!). Anyways, my brother Anthony got sick from his 1.5 year old daughter Kourtney and brought it back to IN and then Rob got it and now I caught it. I had to drive 500 miles home with a fever, bodyaches, chills, headache, swollen glands, sore throat, cough, & nausea! The drive to IN was terrible as well because I passed through tons of rain storms and bad weather. It was so scary!
Then I come home to find out my 41 year old cousin Danny had a heartattack and is in the hospital. My friends aunt who we are close to also had a heartattack and now my friends dad's in hospice and dying from cancer.

Hope you are doing well....the calm after the storm around our house is, well...surprising! We had 15 in our house just before we went to rehersal - Split between 2 rooms...they never did sit around the dining table or in the TV room that are right there!! Everything went really well....but it was HOT!! Hot!! We came close to 100!! ugh!

This Home page is bursting with all my favorite photos. I love all things cute and I love all things Japanese! I love David's photograph holding that beautiful type of butterfly. Great photographs of hummingbirds... this is one fauna not found in Japan. Beautiful flowers... suddenly, stopping to smell the flowers just got a little sweeter! Rob left to move to IN on Sat.! Its was so hard watching him leave! I am so heartbroken and lost without him already! Today Marina and I are going to IN to help Rob get situated with his apartment. We planned on leaving Friday to get in the apartment but it didn't work out and turned into a REAL NIGHTMARE! (LONG STORY). Rob had to pack up his car and be in a hotel the past few days. I was so heartbroken! I tried so hard to avoid that situation and it got all messed up. (LONG STORY) I will have to tell you on the phone this weekend if I get a chance. The situation was so disappointing and stressful!
Rob and my brother Anthony will be sharing an apartment for now in Indianna. Today is their 1st day of work! Well today is the physical. Then the rest of the week is safety meetings and movies.
I figured it would be better if I got there when Marina and I could help with the apartment. I will be here in NY until we rent out or sell our house. I was just focusing on getting Rob an apartment and getting him situated then I will try to figure out if I want to rent or sell. We really don't have the money to pay for 2 homes in 2 states and to wait for the house to sell. We will most likely rent out our house. I hope and pray that my friends Aunt will be able to rent it. She even has interest in buying it because she going through a divorce but isn't sure when she will get money. She asked if she could rent out our house but at the time I thought we would be able to just put it up for sale and move on with our lives without worrying about if something goes wrong with the house or if someone we rent to destroys it.
Anyways, its my 1st roadtrip with me driving. I only went on the thruway/highway about 20 times in my life so this is going to be a HUGE challenge! I live in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY and to drive to the apartment in Indianna its over an 8 hour drive! I'm hoping and praying we make it there safely! I have to go and get ready. I will be back Friday night. If Marina is bored to tears we will leave on Thursday morning and be home Thursday evening.
I wonder if now I will be closer or farther apart from you! I will have to do the mapquest when I get back on the weekend! It would be so fun to meet up someday!

Barb ,I love the picture of David with the butterfly, great shot!!!! And I absolutely love the picture of the butterfly on this page a little farther down! It is perfect! The yellow and black one! I hope it has cooled down for you up there, but looking at the news it looks like the whole U.S. is in a pressure cooker, except for here, and a few other little isolated places! It rained all weekend, and the neighborhood had their annual yard sale going on, and I felt sorry for all the people running all their stuff back in the house after all the setup! It is drizzly today, and the temp is 68 degrees right now at 1:30 in the afternoon! I had to keep the heat on in here the last few days! We are cold! Hi Barbara Jean! I hope you are feeling so much better these days....sinus infections...yuck!! They can make you stop in your tracks! :0( I thought your cricket fact was really great! I'm an old farm gal...and I remember that there were some chickens they all had at the farms...and they were usually quiet...but when something is 'wrong' they all sounded off!! The butterflies are very cool...yah...when we went to the exhibit there were a lot of people in there too- they just don't settle down when there's lots of people in the exhibits!!

I hope your feeling better from your sinus infection! I think I have another one and an ear infection! I've been sick with my sinus, allergies, & fevers this week! I hate going to the doctors and always just hope and pray it goes away on its own and my body will heal itself so I don't have to go to the doctors! I always get sinus infections! They are terrible! Hi Barb! I'm so bad about visiting lately. We just don't have enough hours in a day, do we? I'm really enjoying being in the gallery...that's been a wonderful adventure for me. I've never done anything like this before, so I'm really enjoying myself.

Hi Barb!! I love your new home page!! The little hummingbird is a awesome...don't you just love those little guys!! I love your flower pictures too, and how wonderful that some of them date back to 1944. How great that is! You have so many new and beautiful pictures! I stopped by a couple of days ago, but my dinosaur of a computer kept crashing so I couldn't leave any comments.
I've been so sad about the oil leak. It's hitting our beaches here in Pensacola now. It just makes me sick to see our white sand ruined, and I hate to think of what it will do to all of our birds and sea life....just devastating.
I'm going to spend some time looking around at all of your new pictures. Since I'm not going to get back to West Virginia this year, I'll have to just enjoy your pictures!

I love that photo of the iris also. I wanted to leave my Memorial Day items on longer, but a month is a bit too long. I can't change anything after today for a long time, so I went with my flowers, "Little Guy", and The Farm. Thank you for your nice words. I was so bummed out that it took me some time to get over it, I'm not over it yet. So bummed out!! I know that they had a good time because she sent me pictures and texts, which I loved!! I did try to distract myself by going shopping and I found a tiny patch of bluebonnets to take pictures of, not many in this area :( I did get to see Miss Kyleigh and that always puts a smile on my face :)

Hi Miss Jean..I hope life is treating you well my friend. Your pictures of the Khron Conservatory on this page are spectacular. The dogwood trees and redbuds are gorgeous. Your header just stands out. Each and everytime I look at your site, I am amazed at the updates. It looks like you have a new cause with the bunny's. My mom could have croaked over Easter. Her foster daughter brought home an Easter Bunny from the Carnival. They have absolutely no way to take care of this little guy. They have cats and dogs that will try and have him for lunch. Your family Easter looks amazing. Where did you have it at. It looks like that Lisa and David and is that Lisa's husband in the pic? Well, everything is going fine on this end. I just got one of my cases completely wrapped up and am almost done with the big one. Work is still going great, but I am very tired alot now. Getting up at 4:30 AM is very hard to adjust too. I can't usually get to sleep before 10:30 and that is just not enough sleep. I haven't been around in awhile and I apologize. I have been able to get out on pretty days and take lots of pics. The dogwoods and redbuds have been exceptionally pretty this year. I hope you have a spectacular week-end and a good week to come :) Miss ya my friend!

WOW!!!! This Easter page is so BEAUTIFUL! I love Easter, springtime, bunnies, & flowers! SORRY I DIDN'T GET HERE SOONER I HAD THE COLD/FEVER FLU THING ALL WEEK! It was terrible! :( I'm stil not feeling great but at least the fever is gone & I was able to sleep for 7 hours straight! I didn't for more than 15 minute stretches sleep for days it was terrible! Then my dad who also got sick said to take Nyquil then I was able to sleep for about 3-5 hours at night!
Are you going to see the Easter bunny? We are goingto Hilton Head, SC for spring break! I might not have time to come back before my trip so Im sending early wishes!!! Have a Happy Easter!

They are so pretty I want to be sure you get the credit! Lisa did ALL the bunny photos. I love that "Family" one also. I love the flop eared brown bunnies. One's ear's look like leather!!! What a GREAT page this is.....I LOVE it!!! Everything about it fun to look at....the pictures, egg coloring tips, game, glitters, bunnies.....it's really a beautiful page. Beautiful!! I love this page....the pictures are gorgeous and tell the wonderful story of the coming of spring...my favorite time of year! Your site always has such a great selection of pictures and the layouts are beautiful. I've really missed a lot by not visiting the sites. Life has been busy, I messed up my site really badly, the oil spill and health have all gotten in my way. Of course those are just excuses, because everyone has hectic lives, but still they pull it together and move forward. After looking at all of your beautiful flowers and the little ferrals I'm starting to feel inspired again to get back out there and see what everyone has done with their sites.

Rhonda, Toni, and all who have been hoping I'd get to do presents with my grandson, David...Lisa ended up bringing me some medicine I needed last night & we had a small impromptu gift opening. She loved her books. David was thrilled with them too. He'd point and say, "Oh! I loved that! That was so much fun!!!" (He was remembering Disney World favorites.) He loved his little books I made for him. His favorite was the Old West Festival book. I called it Marshall Janson & had to explain what a Marshall was...it was in Dodge City during Wyatt Earp's time. Of course, I had to tell him who Wyatt Earp was. I had a ball talking about Bat Masterson, The Dalton Gang. Stuff I used to play instead of Star Wars and DS video games. Lisa didn't feel too good yet, but we had to wait while David read his entire book in poor lighting. Guess what??? The highlight of his entire night was John's little plastic junky eyeglass-compass-binoucular-mirror thingy. I hadn't even wanted to give it to David it was so "junky"!!! He loved it! IT WAS HIS FAVORITE! "Cool. I can hang this on my pants!" which is EXACTLY what John said he'd say. (I told Lisa to disinfect it. It was from a resale shop, I'm sure. It definitely was not new. I just wanted it clean.) I did not have a camera, so no photos at all this year except for Bass Pro Shop. John had charged my battery & I had no idea where it was. Neither did John. Guess we are not supposed to have photos this year. I am so glad everyone came through the flu ok, that I'm not upset. I'm just tired. So it's for real, we had Christmas...late & not planned, but wonderful. I got to see my daughter and grandson. That is ALWAYS wonderful!

Well good news. I have had a job offer. You talk about a long day. It started off with me interviewing with a panel of 11 people. This was for the case management job. There were 3 Social Workers and 7 RN's and one controller present. That interview lasted for 45 minutes. I then had to go to my uncle's house and wait around until 1:00 for my second interview. Thank goodness the second interview was with only the head of the department. This was for the Clinical Documentaion Specialist. It is a brand new job and no one has had it yet. I met with her for about 1 hour. After that, I had to wait around for 45 minutes to meet with the CFO of the hospital to see how the interviews went and to see if I was to meet with the Wound Clinic Coordinator. The CFO had met with the team of 11 people and they were prepared to hire me today. I have that job offer and the CFO is waiting to hear how the second interview went. At least I know I have one of the jobs. I am keeping my fingers crossed because I would love to have the Clinical Documentaion Specialist. It seems a little more flexible and my cup of tea. I have always liked trying new things and am always up for a challange. It is just my personality. Thanks for all the prayers. They are so much appreciated on my end. I have come to realize that the power of prayer is so vital and can do wonderful things. I am so pround to have found so many shutterfly friends.

Lisa, I wasn't thinging but I really DID change my site. Took off most of family stuff and everything, almost EVERYTHING is from our quick visit to Bass Pro Shop...thanks to you. I really appreciate you letting me know about it! I had gotten tired of looking at family for so long...That young lady always has fun. I didn't even put in all the photos! She is wonderful. It was New Years Day & John had dragged me out for my first day out for fun since Dec. 22nd. No makeup, no hair fluffed, nothing. She is a hostess/waitress at our favorite place & don't know what we'd do if she left. She's a character & soooo Southern. (maybe not, but sure sounds it)
I just stuck these up. Didn't know what else to do with them & they were cute, due to Felicia. p.s. She asked, "did you see my butt?" and I'm thinking "WHAT!" she turned around and about 3 tables started howling with laughter. She can carry off about anything. Happy New Years!!! Love it!

Hi Miss Jean. Sorry to hear that you are sick again. I had two bouts also, only colds though. I slept for 4 hours Sunday after chuch and I feel much better. Thanks for the compliments on the St. Catherine's page. I added the collage of Graciie Sue and Chico on you pet page. What I met, is if you copy pictures off Facebook they are very bad. I posted the one from my shutterfly account :) I hope you feel better my friend. I am going for my two interviews tomorrow at the hospital that is 50 miles away. That is the disadvantage of living in a small community. There is not place to work in you rprofession! OH, well, with all the prayers that have gone up, I am feeling good about the interviews tomorrow. Keep praying though! I'll catch ya later. Enjoy the pics!

To some who have wondered who the little dark haired girl in many photos is...I've added a couple of photos. She's my niece, Melody, & was same age as Matthew. I love the Santa pictures you added, ya'll look so great!! The Bass Pro Shop has really ramped up their Wonderland over the last couple years. I can remember going and there were no lines to see Santa at all, now it's a 45 minute wait! Kyleigh loves the Bass Pro, all the animals and fish!! I know what you mean, if they had something like that when Nick and Rider were little it would have been pretty fun!

I couldn't help but think of you today, as I pulled in my drive to my house and there were about 25 deer nibbling on the clover that Larry planted for them this past year. I am so glad that Larry has chosen to treat our property like a wildlife sanctuary. It is such a blessing to have all the wild animals around much of the time. I understand the deer season aspect, and the need to thin out the population, but I so enjoy the other 51 weeks of the year much better. Larry is very conservation minded and is always working with the Conservation Agents on better ways to improve our land to help provide nice habitats for the wildlife in our area. They have even come in and done prescribed burns and such to help with the undergrowth. It was really cool when I drove through today. The deer stopped, looked up at me, and started eating again. Now, that is security if I ever saw it. And then, low and behold there were a flock of wild turkey out there in the middle of them nibbling away also. I hope your day is going well. I know today was the day that you were going to lay your mamma to rest. I hope that you are still experiencing the peace that you have felt since your mother passed last week. How cool is that! I thought I would stop by and let you knwo what's been going on with Little Lexy. We were rushing into the Fox Theatre on Friday evening for the Nutcracker. Janna told me that I had a missed message from my sister Tracy. I had her read it to me as all of us were rushing in before they shut the doors on us! The message was that Lexy had another major seizure while in the tub and slipped under the water and aspirated. Her dad was with her, immediately pulled her from under the water and administered CPR. She spent the night in the hospital and is doing well for the moment. I didn't get the last part of the story until after the Nutcracker and almost worried myself sick that something bad would still happen with the little angel. As soon as the Nutcracker was over and we said our goodbyes to the boys and Mirranda and Mary, I called Tracy to get the scoop. Lexy is home and fine. Tracy and her family is very grateful for God and his army of angels watching out for our Little Lexy. Please let everyone you know to keep praying for this little darling. Who would have thought in their wildest dreams that she could come close to drowning with her dad or mom right with there with her when she was in the tub. This is such scary stuff. Then to top it off, I got home at 12:30 A.M. Sunday morning, and the CD Of pics of Lexy that I have been waiting for 2 weeks had finally arrived in the mail this Saturday. I downloaded it after chuch today and the pictures are remarkable. They sent 205 absolutely precious pictures. It just breaks my heart doing a photbook for them because I am scared that she won't have many future photobooks. I become so emotional just looking at her pictures that I don't know if I will be able to complete the book. I so want to get it done and in my hands before Christmas, because I want her dad Josh to have it to take to Afghanistan in April. And if this is not enough to worry about, Luke has been running a 103 temperature all week-end and cannot get in to see the Dr. until Tues. Jeff and Mary said that he has never really recovered from the H1N1 that hit him on Oct. 27. I don't know how pushy to get with them about getting him to the Dr. before Tues. I kept mentioning secondary infections and such, but don't know how hard to push! It is so frustrating! I am afraid he has pneumonia. He is taking 4 and 5 hour naps and this is not my Little Luke. He wouldn't come to me or Janna at all Friday when we saw the little guy! He was not sick at all during his first year of life and we got so used to him being so healthy. Any and all prayers for Little Luke and Lexy would be much appreciated! Thank you so much! Have a great week Miss Jean. I appreciate having you as such a great friend:)

Words cannot express your comments awesomeness! I never fretted about making mistakes in front of others, but I usually dislike making errors when I'm writing. I know misspelled words will cause the word processor to underline the errors with squiggly lines, yet I always double-check what I've written.

The felines page got my heart racing in an instant. A cat is an iconic symbol of Japan that can be found in many entrances of homes and restaurants in that part of the world. Cat has become quite a symbol across the world for luck and fortune! I love your cooky, wacky and awesome cats!

Hi Miss Jean....thanks so much for the lovely emails about journaling. After you put it like that about capturing memories in writing for future generations I have a completley different prospective on jounaling. I always think my journaling is goofy. I do just write from my heart, but I never know if I explain it well enough. I had to laugh at myself, though! When I was a freshman in college I told them I wanted in remedial writing classes. Back in the day you had to take an entrance exam for placement in classes. This was before the ACT days. After they pulled my scores out in Language/writing skiils, they ROFLOL because I had blown the top off my score in this area. This was my best thing score that I had. I just got a B in the regular class because I hated it so bad. Now give me chemistry, medical stuff, nutrition, stuff like that and I am heaven:) You know how sometimes we have an area that we lack confidence in? I guess this is mine. Thanks again for the encouragement because it made me think of this funny story:) Plus, I am going to make an effort to jounal on my pictures from now on. I think I will start on my sharesite first and MAYBE someone could read them and critique them for me, hint, hint:)

Wow!! Look at all the great Thanksgiving pictures! That is so wonderful you got to have your family together for the holiday. Love all the pictures!! Our Thanksgiving was quiet too, it was nice :) I love Turkey though, so any excuse to cook turkey is fine by me :)
It's cold here in Dallas, they are predicting snow tomorrow! It did snow here yesterday but it only lasted an hour :( I did take pictures of it all though, plus there are two girls here that had never been in snow before so I marched them outside and took there pictures!! Too fun!!

Look What a GREAT Dinner you all had! Yumm!! I loved the pics of you and your daughter cooking together! I did some cooking at my sister Rhonda's house...it was so fun! And my nephew was quite disappointed when he found out that I only made one batch of cookies...he was under the impression I was making more that night! NOT!! haha!!

Rhonda, I will let Lisa know. It turned out super. She broke lots of traditions and her cranberry stuff was incredible. (We all love cranberry receipes). Hers was the best ever! Turkey was cut with a fork! Everything from scratch, while I cheat sometimes. She had so much fun making the stuff. She kept lifting the lids & I love to take photos of steam, so it turned out a good match.

Hi Barbara..I am so sorry to hear about the turmoil with your family over your mom...You said that you read on facebook that she was being taken off dialysis? Is that what I understood..I hope that you continue to spend quality time with her in spite of any issues that others may be having...All your sweet comments brighten my day. About those floating bucks, I had just moved them to my guest page...You will need to check it out, but in the meantime the floating bucks are back on my fall in the ozark page! I am not a very good writer and always hated it in school, but it seems to be getting easier when I have a story to tell. Hi Barb! I am so sorry to hear about your mamma! I went through a similar situation with my father, and unfortunately, I just had to stand by and watch, since he wasn't in my nursing home at the time. He has been gone five years now. He was only 72 when he passed. I would have gladly helped you with you mom. I know how tough it is when we have to place our parents in a nursing home. I was the Director for 22 years and had a deep fondness for all of our residents. I then worked as a nursing home inspector and that was just too depressing for me. I did not have enough power to see that the homes fix their problems. I am now a legal nurse reviewing nursing home cases for merit. Someone has to stand up for our frail elderly! I am so passionate about this issue, that I have been asked to speak before the Missouri Congress sometime in the near future so that our legislators can get a grasp on what is going on out in the "real" world for our frail elderly:( I will say a prayer for your mom that she will rest peacefully with her family at her side. You take care and cherish these last moments with her! Thanks for always stopping by my site and checking up on me, I truly appreciate it! The music in the car is something I soooo would do to my family :) I just recently had my photobook party and I had Smokey Mountain Christmas music playing the whole time. They loved it.
Your fall pictures are so awesome. I was noticing that all the leaves are falling off the trees in Texas, some of them haven't even turned yet. Bummer!!
Going to Fredericksburg next weekend with Jamie and Linda, Jean is flying down too. Should be alot of fun:) I sure hope the fall color hangs on until we can get there with our cameras :)

hi Lisa, I drove the kids to Fla. in the summer (maybe 16=18 hours) while we listened to Christmas Music. I have some really neat Celtic Christmas (unusual, gorgeous) too, so they had a variety. I don't know why they needed a break every now & then. I think we would fit nicely. I'm babysitting my Grandson, & having a ball. I don't get to see him as much since he started school, but i try as much as I can. Got to see him in Scouts last night. Got photos of course.

Hello, Lisa. Yes, I have Lisa (29) and Matthew (31) and grandson, David (8). I wanted a larger family, but like the Stones say, "You can't always get what you want." I love to visit sites. I just love it. I get to see all these neat photos and get different ideas and views of the world. I get to see lots of places that I won't be able to go to in person. I don't have TV since it went digital, and Shutterfly is a lot more fun than TV anyway. I'd like to take some photo classes this spring. I love Shutterfly. It has opened up a whole new world for me and energized me.
Your fall trip sounds great. I can look at mountains, leaves, animals, water ...forever. It would be great to plan the trip! Keep me updated. Barb

I just finished looking at your site. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I left you a comment on your blog about your feral kitty's:) Your David could be one of my sons! I cannot believe the resemblance. One of these days I am going to scan pictures of my two sons who are now 27 and 24 and do their own page like I did Janna's page. You are going to be amazed how much David looks like my second son Jason. Now I know why you think Luke looks like him. Luke really favors Jason as much as his own dad, Jeff. I love Disney too. You'll have to check out my vacation pics. We also love Universal and Islands of Adventure, but Disney tops them all, especially for kids and the young at heart. I can't wait until I can take Luke. Nick is 24 now and Rider is 20!! I can hardly believe that, I blinked and they were grown and I have a wnderful granddaughter :) She has been a total blessing!! I love having in my life, I count the days til I'm with her every week :)

Barbara, I forgot to tell you about the slideshows. Go to options, just to the right of your slideshow, then click edit settings, then click the slideshow tab, when that opens you'll see transitions: in the box there click the slide down arrow and it will show you all the ways you can so slideshows :) Hope that helps and if you have trouble email me ;)

Thanks for viisting my site as always. You were asking about the Simple Path books. They are designed to make things easy and yes they don't all much control; which we are so used to. Its designed for those who want to do a quick book with minimal changes and its also a good starter book for the beginner. It is hard to let them do it all basically. You can still change things around, change the background (you can't change every page-the whole book has the same theme) and the font selection is limited.

Hi Barbara! I got a chance to go see your The Cat's take over site....wow....kitty's everywhere! LOL!! It is such a good site! Lots of pictures, great information and I could feel your passion over this very important situation!! I even added some pictures of Sadie...and if you want to look...she has her own page on my site. I haven't put to many new pics on there...so I need to get some from camping. You will see with her...just like with your furry babies...that they are kinda rough around the edges to start with...but letting them grow into the beauties that the Lord created in them...and they are wonderful!! When we got Sadie...her ribs were showing and she was so thin, coughing, bad coat....but if you see some of her 'grown up' pictures...she's beautiful with the cutest ears! Check out her page! Now for the Rott...Chyna...she hates the camera...so when I do get some of her, it's rare! They also have a beautiful Lab named Dakota....and the funniest Lemon Beagle named Easton! So 2 big dogs and the Beagle...they are a funny group walking around! ha! But, my Daughter in Law sure feels safe having all 3 of them in the house when she's there with the baby...my son works graveyard...through the night. Wow...I sure go on and on....hehe!!

The layouts i used in my Summer book are all Shutterfly templates. Is there a particular one you are looking at? Some of the collage layouts with 6 or 9 grids - i may only use 3 photos - gives it a different look.
You asked how to changed to Home Page background. Do u mean the blue? Go to customize at the top and click on Change Site Style. Then you can select a different background. Note: This will change all your pages but it won't remove anything.

Happy Monday Barbara Jean! Hope you had a good weekend! It was so pretty here so my DIL and my Grandbaby, Hannah and I took in a little community Harvest Festival. We had a great time! I took my camera and so I'll have new pics of that too! The Hot Air Balloon Fiesta Starts this weekend and so I'll be clicking away there too! Good to see you came by - and glad that Joey can help you with the single picture question!

Hi Barbara Jean! I saw your comment on Jean's - actually like Jean I thought it was your site when I clicked on Lisa's - i then read your comment again. So what I posted on Lisa's site about the Single Picture Frame, is if you mouse over it, Right Click and a menu will appear. Click Edit at the top and you'll be able to change your Single Picture Frame to what you wish it to say.

I enjoyed the Beach book a lot, but then I also enjoyed the Pirate Birthday. This has been fun!
