Bailey at 10 months.
I can't believe 10 months has already gone by. It's truly amazing how much the human body (and brain) grow in a short amount of time. Life really is a miracle.
Bailey is now crawling, standing by herself, eating some normal foods and just weeks away most likely of taking her first steps and hopefully she'll be getting a tooth ANY DAY NOW. (I hope).
BB's Six Month Well-Visit.
Bailey is 15 pds. 11oz. and 26" long. Interesting fact - I did not weigh this much, wasn't that long until I was EIGHT months old! So it looks like Bailey is on the road to being at least "average" height! Maybe she won't be a shorty like her Mama!
Bailey is Six Months Old!
Her latest accomplishments:
1. Her first plane rides.
2. She's now eaten: Sweet Potatoes, Prunes, Apples, Green Beans, Butternut Squash and Bananas!
3. Bailey is 15 pds!
4. Bailey is most likely teething....
Bailey is 4 months old!
Technically that'll be tomorrow, but anyhoo...

Date Mistake.
Bailey's Cardiology appointment is scheduled for March 19th NOT the 9th as I previously thought. I looked at the year instead of the day apparently. I then rescheduled her next appointment with Dr. A for March 20th.
Both dates are now on Bailey's social calendar!

Weight Check at mall.
Scale said 13 pds 2 oz. but we've been weighing her (via mom steps on scale at home and subtracts her own weight) for a week now at 13 pds. Oh well.
Rollin'...Rollin'...
So Bailey had learned to roll over a few weeks ago, but since then she's just decided that it's her favorite thing to do! She rolls over and over and over. She discovered her thumb around then too, and now sucks her thumb just like her mommy did. She is tired of the Boppy pillow. She doesn't like sitting half up. She either wants to be flat on her back or in some propped up sitting position. She especially likes to be carried around so she can look at everything.
She's approx. 13 pounds and 24 and some inches long. It's getting harder for momma to hold her in the old snuggly ways. Boo.
She's moving up in size with diapers and bottle nipples. She's getting ready to hit 14 pounds, so that's a size 1-2 or 2 in diapers and a size 3 in Avent nipples. We've got some "variable" nipples and they are supposed to let her decide the speed, but we'll see if she ends up liking them. She's very particular now about the type of nipple that she'll take on her bottle.
Bailey is drinking about 6 oz. three times a day and all the other feedings (about 3 other times) she drinks around 4 oz.
Lately she's taken to waking up at 2-3am instead of 4-5am. She needs a diaper change and is very hungry. Growth spurt?
Anyway, she's doing great and very happy. Usually only cries when she's hungry or needs a diaper change. She also flirts with papa alot and can finally notice herself (and me) in a mirror. Although I don't know if she realizes it's her or if she thinks I'm holding another baby. Hmmm...
After a bad nights sleep, rewarded with great one!
Best one yet! Bailey went to bed around 9:30pm and didn't wake up till 5am! 71/2 hrs! Just a brief "mad moment" where she needed her Binkey and then she was out. She's also drinking up to 6oz. during her 9am and Noon feedings at daycare!
Great sleep last night!
So I put Bailey down to bed at 10pm after feeding her at 9:30pm. She slept until 4:30am!! I think somewhere in there we got up to pop the Binky in her mouth, but that was it! So six hours of sleep and seven hours without a feeding!
Easter Dress.
So Easter is still a week away, so I had thought this weekend I could find B a cute little dress. I haven't been able to find anything anywhere! Yes there are cute little spring dresses, but I wanted something with small sleeves and something pink. She needs a 3 month size, and it can't be too long or it looks weird. I thought I had found a little teal and white polka dot dress with a bow etc....but it was too long and the bloomers were really big. Oh well. The search continues...
Weekly weight check.
So the battle for Bailey's real weight continues. The mall scale (which is usually the standard for noting B's progress) said 11 pds. So, the other scales said different things at each of the other doctor offices. So who knows...
New Picture.
This picture shows just how different Bailey and I look. It'll be interesting to see if she ever starts to gain any of my features. This is why when they handed me this beautiful blue eyed baby in the hospital I felt like it was someone else's. Joe though says he knows it's ours 'cause he saw it come out~!!
Cardio Appt.
Bailey had a Cardio appointment because the doc on call found a heart murmur when she was born and B had a small hole in her heart. Apparently a fairly common occurance (sp), she has apparently fixed herself and now the hole is gone. Thank goodness.
Doing fine!
I went to see Bailey at lunch, and she was sleeping very soundly. Sounds like everything was going really well.
Bailey started daycare today.
So I dropped her off today and she was all smiley and happy! She didn't seem like she was going to miss me at all! But I'm going to see her at lunch so we'll see how she's doing.
Sleeping through the night.
So Bailey had her first night of sleeping FIVE hours in one go the other night. She usually goes to bed around 10:30pm and then wakes up sometime around 2-3am. But this one time she managed to sleep until 4am. It was great! BUT she then slept fitfully the rest of the morning. That was the only time she's done that, most of the time we've been getting three hour stretches. Here's some more info on infant sleep:
"Somewhere between 3 and 6 months, experts say, most babies are capable of sleeping through the night. They're not talking about eight hours, though — they generally mean a stretch of five or six hours.
Some infants sleep for a long stretch at night as early as 6 weeks, but many babies don't reach that milestone until they're 5 or 6 months old and some continue to wake up at night into toddlerhood."

Holy cow! I love this website! I have been able to add all kinds of things. Now I can get all of Bailey's info together in one place for my family. Nice!
I'll still have to add videos to YouTube first, but this will be great to keep everything in one place.
