The 20 year reunion is coming up! November 12th. There may be other informal events scheduled for the reunion weekend...so check back at this website every now and then.
Friday night (Nov. 11) is the OHS Homecoming Football game. Feel free to join other Class of 1991 alumni in going to the game! Look for C/O 91 signs - there will be reserved seating either in the teacher's section or one of the end zones. Kick-off is at 7:30. And then head up to Froggers (at Alafaya Woods) after the game (around 9:30 pm) to enjoy some drinks and snacks with your fellow classmates! And for those interested, there will be a tour of the school set up prior to the football game. The meeting place is going to be where the office used to be - the big brick building in the middle of the bus ramp; there will be a sign posted at the meeting place. The tour starts promptly at 6:45, so plan to arrive a bit early.
Saturday during the day, we are planning a family outdoor event at the Water Park inside the Windsong subdivision in Winter Park from 10 am until 1 pm. Bring your family and enjoy a day outside. There is a pool for the older kids and adults. There is a small splash fountain/pool for the toddlers to splash around in (its about a foot deep). And a covered area for those who are not sun worshipers! Jennifer Cogle Cunningham has generously agreed to provide sandwhiches, veggies and sodas! Thanks Jen!! Please feel free to bring any other food, drinks and sunscreen. PLEASE NOTE - No glass bottles are permitted. (To get to the Windsong Water Park, take Aloma westbound towards Winter Park; Turn Left onto Lakemont Ave.; At the third traffic light turn Right onto Glenridge; at the second traffic light, turn Right into the Windsong subdivision onto Preserve Point Drive; the water park is two blocks up on the right; parking is behind the water park or on the street).
Saturday evening will be the main event! Due to the economic times, we don't want to create an event that costs lots of money to attend. So instead, we decided that we should all just get dressed up and head downtown to a nice bar, Ember. Meet up there as early as 5:30 and stay as late as you want. Bring your spouse/significant other! You will be paying for whatever you eat or drink at the establishment, so bring money. Parking is across the street from the bar in a large public parking garage. If we get a large crowd, the bar will give us more room for our group.
