"Building Tomorrow's Future Today"
Since 1974, Cub Scout Pack 629 in Bellevue, WA has been a charted organization of the Somerset Community Association. It is a member of the Cascade District of the Chief Seattle Council. We have a great program for boys in grades first through fifth. Most its members attend Somerset Elementary School. Nevertheless, the Pack is available to any boys interested in joining Cub Scouts who attend other schools and live in one of the Somerset neighborhoods. We hope you enjoy this website and invite you to come and see just what scouting is all about.
The Chief Seattle Council distributes the E-TOTEM Newsletter electronically. We encourage you to sign-up to receive this publication by clicking on Signup for the Council Electronic Newsletter.

Pack 629 is inviting all Cub Scout families to donate the Cub Scout uniform pieces that they don't want to keep. While some families, like to keep them, others would rather not. The Pack can accumulate the unwanted uniform pieces and save other families a little morning by putting them to use on a uniform.
Scouting for food - March 2012. Cub Scout Pack 629 teamed up with Boy Scout Troop 638 for the annual food drive benefiting Hopelink, March 19 and 26. Helping other people is part of the Cub Scout promise. This event is provided an opportunity to talk to your Cub Scout about helping other people and what that means, then let them experience the helping, and if possible go to Hopelink to see the whole picture and that hunger is a problem right here in Bellevue.

Bellevue City Project - April 2011. Botanical Gardens. Bellevue Parks sponsored ‘Arbor Day,’ and Pack 629 was responsible for planting trees on the East trail that borders the play field. We also helped clear an invasive ‘British Ivy,’ from the park, and discovered wildlife such as Tree Frogs, and Earth Worms. For many, it was their first opportunity to plant a tree. All of us shared a great experience working together. After the work was over we were each rewarded with a T-shirt and a hot bowl of Chili. We were also graced with members from the City Council who lauded our efforts and the importance of taking care of our environment.
