Parasailor USA is proud to announce the world's first Parasailor Regatta to be held in the USA, FL, St Petersburg in Tampa Bay.
The event is going to be a great day out on the water and we want you to come and participate. Whether you are an existing Parasailor customer enjoying your new Parasailor or Parasail or you are someone that has the Parasailor on your wish list, come down to Florida and spend the day sailing with other sailors who simply love the Parasailor.
Parasailor experts will be on hand to answer all your questions.
Quite simply an experience not to be missed!
The Inaugural Parasailor Regatta will be April 3, 2010. We have teamed up with local sailing company SailTime Tampa Bay and have leased four identical Hunter 36's.
In addition, we have leased a Hunter 49, which will be the committee boat and two other power boats that will set the course and guide round the circuit. Parasailor USA thanks SailTime Tampa Bay for helping to put this exciting event together.
As a bonus arrive a day before the event.
For those that can fit two days sailing in sunny St Petersburg we will be sailing two of the boats and giving detailed training on how the Parasailor works and in addition, detailed training regarding the sails on the Hunter fractional rig. If you are looking for an excuse to get on the water for a few days, then Parasailor USA is your answer. The bonus-training day will be Friday April 2, 2010.

Ø Being a part of the first Parasailor photo shoot. In your new Parasailor clothing. Become famous and be in our Hall of Fame!
Ø Taking part in up to three races on the race day (weather permitting).

Ø The opportunity to share a great sailing experience. Be part of the World's First Parasailor Regatta. You will get you know fellow sailors, enjoying a unique sailing experience & have a better knowledge of regattas and more importantly the Parasailor.

If you prefer to watch and not race, you are welcome to relax on the committee boat, a New Hunter 49. The spectator fee is $50 per person. All spectators get a t-shirt, cap, will be included in the photo shoot, are also the social BBQ after the race.

If you are local and have signed up for the Parasailor Regatta 2010. You are invited to come sailing on Wednesday Evenings starting March 3rd. Meet at the Harborage Marina, 1110 3rd Street South, St Petersburg, FL 33711 around 6pm.
During the event, we will have a team of sailors that will be on each boat competing in the event. They range from understanding how the Hunter 36 sails though to spinnaker sailing and knowledge of the Parasailor.
Jerry Twomey (President of Parasailor USA) will be the lead instructor training you before racing starts and the day before for those that can make it. This alone is an added bonus as Jerry's sailing experience is huge.
§ He has raced over 27,000 miles in offshore sailboat races including;
§ Five Fastnet races,
§ Six Round Ireland races,
§ the French Offshore Championships
§ numerous RORC races.
§ He is a member of Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC – London) since 1995
§ Royal Cork Yacht Club (est. 1720-oldest yacht club in the world) since 1972.
§ Chief sailing instructor at the RCYC in 1980/1981.
§ In addition to the above, Jerry has sailed on many long voyages throughout Europe including;
o Ireland,
o UK,
o Mediterranean,
o Norway,
o Sweden,
o Denmark,
o Spain,
o Portugal.
Ø Jerry has also trained SailTime Tampa Bay Members for their Annual Regatta for the last 4 years.
