For the last week there have been approximately 35 people staying in the Bruski's house, it has been both a good and a bad thing, with that many people and only two showers, a hot shower was a rare thing, but having that many people also was a good thing as in the past few days many construction projects have been nearly completed. A house has been nearly built, two barns have been remodeled into apartments, houses have been painted, and murals have been painted at the minor center. The group of 15 from Crossroads Church in Georgia will be leaving Saturday morning, and another group of 15 arriving that same night.

These past few days have been pretty crazy, I haven't been updating as often because my computer has been in pretty much constant use seeing as it is pretty much the only consistantly working computer here (Yay Mac!!) and we have been doing lots of stuff, we have spent lots of time at the gypsy villages of Rontau (rontow) and Dobrești (Dough breasht), and the kids there just want to run up and hold your hand. We blew up balloons for the kids yesterday, and everyone was calm until the parents come over and the parents are just greedy and try to steal whatever even a little balloon that will not help them at all. They push the kids out of way in the lines to get balloons and to play the games, if the parents weren't there this ministry would be so much easier to do.
Gotta go.

This morning one group of us went on house visits to the village of Dobresti. We passed out food to the families sponsored by people and groups in America, first we went to John and Maria's house. They are an elderly couple who are very poor, John has a problem where his legs are twisted around each-other, at his hip they are correct, but his left foot is on the right, and his right foot is on the left.
There was a family that we stopped in for just a short time, we gave them the food, and they gave us some handmade doughnuts, they had a very shy little boy.
Then came Florica and Florin (Floor-EEN) and to get to their house we had to climb a mountain, her house is needing repairs as the mountain is slowly eroding out from under it.
Then the Damshes (probably spelled wrong pronounced Dom-shay) they have thirteen children and are the poorest of these families, their dad is an alcoholic and has sold the children's toys given to them by the Bruskis so that he could buy alcohol. Many people here drink rubbing alcohol to get drunk.

Today we started out by going to Linda's house, she has been living here for 3 months now and lives by herself. At her house is where the garden and cornfield are we spent about 4 hours weeding the cornfield with the help of Attila, and Trian, (I will have pictures of these two later).
After that we went to the Government Housing (Projects) and had a fun little carnival like thing for the kids their. There was some games face painting and soccer. Their were lots of little kids running around and they were so happy for us to be there.
I'm Patrick this is my second trip to Romania. Courtney and Alison came here with me this year for their first time. We are staying with the Bruski Family who used to live in Georgia. The link to their website is on the bottom right of this site. They started an organization called Belief in Motion and the Romania segment is known as Project 127.
