We viewed End of the Spear - a true story about sharing the gospel in the Amazons, five martyrs and the amazing eventual acceptance of the gospel by the original people of Paraguay. A story of forgiveness and grace filled love. Afterwards there was wine, cheess and sharing on what it means to evangelize in today's culture as well as what we can learn from others.
First steps in organizing the Association Nationally begin with the small steps of listening and sharing. Vijay Devadas makes a point here. Joining in the conversation: Sr Karen Marie (scribe), Sara, Christin and Maryann.
another view of the "green" group. We had color codes for dividinmg up into four groups of five or six.

Saturday afternoon Hour of Adoration
It was windy and chilly - so some members, as Rae said, blew away - only to return for another photo...
Front steps of the Marianist Retreat House originally the Wannamakers home - if you are from Philly you will know this name.
as the wind blew and chilled us...some missing from this photo may be found inside warming up...
We were happy the sun was out
were times to greet, meet and eat
the food was good so everyone hung around in the dining area
Meals continued conversations from groups sharing
Ashley joined us for some meals. She is entering the Salesians later this year.
good food, fine friends
A very family type dining area
Everyone chipped in for after meal cleaning. Sr Thecla was our "captain" for all things kitchen.
everyone switched dining partners for meals
The camera was just never off! Plus there were two others in action so more photos (and better photos) will be coming soon.
what is it about meals?
This table kept gathering people until there were chairs all around it...an interesting conversation ensued
by a Marianist Brother
We had one room for gathering and chapel. We faced toward the crucifix for prayer and turned our chairs around for presentations. The Blessed Sacrament was in another chapel - much too small for us all to fit in at once.
that graced our room - by a Marianist Brother

Ashley shares YouTube sites, Facebook and other Social Media. She was thrilled that the Paulines were into all of the new media. Her work in Youth Ministy - which she hopes to continue in the Salesian Order.
and finding the "hot spots" in the room. (wi-fi)
Social Media isn't neglecting the face to face in this setting
Who knew Mildred was in acting! I looked at her file when I got home and Mildred we now know that you can teach us all how to present.
Mildred shares her talent and gets us enthused with the "orange" groups insights.
Makeshift screen behind Mildred was used throughout the event. The screen at the Retreat House was too small so we put up a sheet (modern means)
Sunday morning we heard back from each group representative. The audience is enraptured.
The "green" group projected their work on the "sheet" screen.
Sr Karen (group scibe) consults with Maryann and Christin over a point made. And it must have been funny! Sr Margaret Joseph jumped out of her chair.
