Paul, it is so hot here and the water photos are amazing, I want to jump in. We had 105 today and 106 yesterday. Tomorrow 107 or more. My hummingbirds are migrating this way and I have about 15, by the middle of next month I will hopefull have 100-200. Can't count we feel like we have swarms of bees everywhere. Paul, I just viewed your video, and I loved your Crater Lake photos I saw in there! They were beautiful, as was your other pics of the snow and waterfalls! I never knew it was so gorgeous in the area that you live in, just thought it was mostly desert like which I like too, but didn't know there were so many lakes and waterfalls! I am going to look around your site for awhile! I am just getting back into visiting sites since my dad got out of the hospital a week ago, after a month stay! He made a good recovery! I used to climb the mountains in Eastern US...much different than out West. I have always wanted to go out West. I have had back surgery and it was successful, but I think most of my exploring and climbing days are past. That is why I was enjoying your photos so very much. I CAN see the wonderful creations through your eyes and wanted to thank you for that. You do a brilliant job on your photography and you touch people in many different ways. Thank you for making a part of this wonderful nation accessible to me. Your eyes make this possible...and God's creation made it there for you to see and share.
Again, thank you so much for stopping. I try to change things up as much as I can. I do have lots from West Virginia. I love the mountains. I love the way the moss and dampness smell. I love the different greens. I love the peace I feel there. I love to see nature. God speaks to me very strongly when I view his wonderful creations of nature. My mountains are nothing like yours, but there is a place for both. I just love your dramatic skies and valleys and craigs...so many different things to give thanks for!

Hey, check out my waterfall pics on my Local Travel tab - they are the Huntington Library and Eaton Canyon pics. I think this is my first time I was able to get a shot like these of the waterfalls - so I am pretty excited. Not perfect, but I am trying. Have a great weekend. It was great to see that you dropped in and checked out the photos from our recent family trip to Jamaica. It is, indeed, beautiful there - I highly recommend it for everyone's travel wish list. Jamaica was a unique way to spend Thanksgiving, but the family loved it and we were glad they served us turkey and ham and stuffing to help us get into a little of the Thanksgiving spirit. Hey Paul, thank you so much for you super kind comments on my sunset photos. They mean so much to me!! It was amazing seeing in person, I had the perfect spot and I stayed there til the sun went down. THEN, I got up at 6:15 the next morning and wanted to catch the sun riisng but couldn't find it. I saw pink and blue, but it was a ways away. Not anywhere near the lake and they looked much better in person. I was just in awe!
I don't see moments like that very often. I used the sunset mode and they turned out better than auto. It was fun and glad you enjoyed them.
Your photos are so reath-taking. I'd have a hay-day taking photos of your nature.

Hi Paul, thank you very much for the comment. Sometimes I'm a little slow at getting back but I will eventually.
The Guru Coordinator picks who she wants to be on the Guru team. I was asked a year ago, some have come and gone - it's all volunteer, so its not like they are forcing one to do it. I love it. I think she picks people who make a lot of comments on books throughout Gallery, are active in the Gallery etc. I think there are about 30 of us, but some aren't involved much anymore. There's a book out of all us Guru's if you want to look at it, it's called The Guru's and it's by tiffanyinc. So if you type in either of those names in the green search box in Gallery - then you can see us all. One more has been added since the book was made.
Shutterfly Community is awesome- I love it and it really is inspiring.

Paul........I viewed your inspirational album today in the gallery and stopped by to see more of your great images! You have a great eye with your camera and ALMOST make me want to venture out in the winter months to try and get a few of the beautiful images you captured while snowshoeing. I have to admit that I am a 'summer girl'...but those scenes are AMAZING! I also enjoyed all the rafting images. That looks like fun...a little scary........but FUN!
