I know I've been MIA for awhile now, but I'm slowly starting to get back ... I miss shooting with my camera. I don't even have new stuff of the Grandkids! Sometimes we get in season of our lives that we have to work on the core things...and then the rest has to be set aside for awhile...and that's what I've had to do!
So glad to see you have enough snow to snowshoe this year! We are - once again- soooo dry!! We need some really good storms to come through, snow or rain!! We'll take it!

Just back from a few days in CO...family time... it was nice to see everyone! I'm glad to be back home for the next few weeks...we hope to go camping in Aug sometime... Summer flies by so fast when we camp on the weekends! It's finally cooler up there too, so when we do go, it's such a nice change!

Hey Paul!!! How has your summer been?? It was sooo hot here for most of June and first of July...and this last week we have had rain!! We were in the mountains for a few days...no one was up there...it was great!
Hey ...have you ever hiked arouind Desolation Wilderness.....or Mount Whitney?
I have a cousin hiking Mount Whitney in 2 weeks. She's been up before - but a group of hikers that she goes with got 4 permits so they will do that when she gets back to San Diego. She was in Ouray and Telluride this last week and did some hikes up there.
I finished my page of Yellowstone......... if you want to come take a look!
I head to Colorado for some family time...see my Mom! I'll be back Monday night!... It'll be good to go up...but they are heating up again...well, it's summer!! :0) Have a great weekend!

Checked out some of the great hikes and the fireworks, awesome!! I love those trees, especially if there is snow involved. You got really great fireworks pictures, they completely elude me but I haven't given real attention to it either. Yours are great. Looks like it was a wonderful time!
I was off yesterday but it rain, that's a good thing, however, when it rains my net goes down, drives me bats! So today it is sunny and I'm out and about.

Gorgeous header and photos Paul! Thanks for dropping by my site.. I got a new camera (Canon Rebel) a month ago and thought I'd try capturing the moon. I didn't use a tri-pod, just tried to hold it steady. The ones you saw had been cropped some. I used the TV mode - and when i tried other settings, it would get all blurry if i flinched even a teeny bit. So the TV worked. I also had a telphoto lens.
Thanks for stopping by. I have been horrible at keeping up with visiting everyone. I get so inspired by others creations so I try to make a point to visit more.

Hi Paul! I had to tell you that we went to see Casting Crowns on Thursday...and Matt Redmond was with them too! It was soo much fun! What a blessing! We were the first stop on this tour! They played a lot of their new songs....so good!! I think I'm getting old though....I didn't mind having a seat in the back!! I think speakers are made louder these days!! LOL!

Ok, so we have our tickets for Casting Crowns...I'm really looking forward to it!
Fiesta is from Oct 3-11 here. The 8th & 9th are mostly Special Shape days..and competitions. They have poles in the middle of the field and the pilots drift by in hopes of grabbing a prize! It's very fun! I'm even taking those days off from work to spend the whole day down there!
Then of course they have the Balloon Glows that are at night....my pics were pretty good last year...but I hope to really work on that this year! There is Always a challenge for me in the photography world! ha

The Psalms are some of my favorite scriptures too, there are many great promises and truth revealed in them. And those type of sunsets make me want to sing Psalms of Praise. We had our church baptism at Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe on Saturday, what a special day, pictures will be posted soon. Keep those Psalms in your heart and mind, they bring peace to the soul and spirit!

When I was young my Granny had me memerize Psalms, I can still recall most of it. I should be able to remember it all but my memory isn't as good as it was :) I loved them, still do.
Your sunset is awe inspiring, it's amazing the change of colors that take place in a sunset and sunrise :) Beautiful.

We moved to Tahoe City when I was 10 years old, so I lived in Tahoe through High School and summers during college. I lived in Southern California for a while, moved back to Tahoe, and now have been in Reno for 6 years. I miss the water and trees of Tahoe, but I don't miss the snow shoveling and driving in snow, besides the job market is better in Reno. But in 45 minutes to an hour, Tahoe and the Sierras
are right there. It's nice to get out of the heat up there also, we might reach 100 this week in Reno. Glad to hear you are going to go on a trip with your cousin, that should be fun, the adventures continue.

I read that you gave your Dad his book...and I'm sure it was a very special time for you both! :0) We had a great time up in the mountains - some rain on Saturday - but it cleared up and the sun was out the rest of the time! That is a fantastic view of the waterfall. I also love the birds in the sunset. Beautiful color. I am not that experienced yet but I enjoy every photo that I take. I wanted to drop in and say I hope you have a wonderful week and weekend if I do not get back to you. I am going to start packing tomorrow and we will be in Galveston this weekend. What an adventure we will have. I know that my girls are going to love it.
