Next Meet: Zone 1-North Championships & Pacific Senior I Meet

Saturday January 28 - Sunday January 29 (all day)

SOLO Meet Success!

The Dolphins had the luxury of relaxing at their home pool (Sequoia H.S) this past weekend for the SOLO C/B/A+ meet. The meet ran fast and many of PCA's swimmers came away with best times and smiles! We had some JO qualifying times and even some PRTs (Pacific Recordable Times)!! Coach Kelly and Coach Francisco stuck out the cold and wet weather on Sunday to witness fast swimming all around. Great job Dolphins!

Dolphins Swim Well at Zones

A handful of young Dolphins joined Coach Kelly and me at the CSM pool last weekend for what turned out to be quite an eventful meet! Despite the cold wind and rain we had fast swimming and lots of smiles. Maya Gotthard (10) dropped time in every event she swam and was selected to participate in the Zones All-Star Meet coming up in March!! Congrats Maya!

What I thought was pretty cool was witnessing the comradery between our 10&Under and 11-12 swimmers at this meet. The 10&Unders don't generally practice with the 11-12s, and normally only the 11-12 boys swim with the 10&Unders at regular meets but this time all age groups were together. It was also helpful to have all 10&Under and 11-12s there on Sunday morning when we discovered our pop-up had blown into the pool overnight and we had to fish it out!

Overall it was a really good meet with lots of positives to take away. Way to go Dolphins!!

Q & A

How do I sign-up my child for with USA Swimming so he/she can swim in the meets?
First of all you need to check with your swimmer's coach that registereding with USA Swimming and going to the USA meets is appropriate for your swimmer. Once you have the permission of the coach then send Coach Rob an email (robg@peninsulacovenant.com) and he will send you all the information you need.
My child is now USA Swimming registered, how do I sign them up for meets?
Go to this website: ome.swimconnection.com and create an account. Once you've done this you will be able to see upcoming swim meets in our area. If you have an account on this website you can register your swimmer for meets online.
