Please call the office whenever your child is absent. Please tell the office that you need that days assignments sent to the office. It makes it easier on your child to come back with most of their work complete.

School Supplies
3- two pocket folders, with brads ( red, yellow, green)
5- 70 sheet notebooks (red, yellow, green, blue and purple)
3 packages of pocket tissue packs (explanation later)
scissors (good sharp scissors)
white school glue and several glue sticks
washable markers
crayons
colored pencils
ruler (metric and inch)
pencils
large eraser
red pen
one pack of black dry erase markers
1 blue folder with brads for music
dry erase eraser or old sock
Please label all supplies before bringing them to school.
NO backpacks with wheels, they do not fit in the lockers.
No combination locks are needed, we have built in locks.

Agendas
Agendas are to be filled out in class and signed each night by parents or guardians. Agendas are a great way to see what is happening in class and communicate with me.

Class Rules
1. Listen.
2. Be Nice.
3. Work Hard.
Simple is best...we will discuss what these three easy to remember rules mean in detail.
Consequences
First occurence-WARNING- lose one conduct stick (B)
Second occurence-Move from the group-second stick is taken (C)
Third occurence- Note sent home/phone call or email parents - Lose third stick! (D)
Fourth occurence- Call parents/Possible visit to office -Lose fourth stick and receive an F in conduct.
Each day is a new day! All sticks are returned daily and grades taken.
Morning Meeting
Each morning, one student is responsible for the morning meeting. We need a poem, current event and educational riddle or game each day. A student may also include a song of the day or some personal event, picture or story of their choosing. All poems, songs, current events and stories must be appropriate for the school setting. There must not be an violence, cruelty, sexual content or put downs in the morning meeting. I have several poem books that may be borrowed, as does the library. If you have a question about morning meeting, just ask!
Box Tops for Education
Be sure to save the Box Tops for Education. We have several turn in days throughout the school year. It helps the school and we might win a party?
