Incan Masonry
The Church of Santa Domingo was built using these Incan stones as the foundation walls.
The masonry is really impressive up-close. Each stone fits perfectly into another with no mortar. These stones have survived some major earthquakes.

Machu Picchu from Waynapicchu
Early view of Machu from the hike up Waynapicchu. Shows the switchback entrance road on the left and Machu Picchu Mountain behind the ruins.
Also shows how well Machu Picchu was set into the side of the mountain. When actually standing in the ruins, you get an incredible 360-degree panorama of the mountains, which I could not capture with my little Casio.

Machu Picchu Terraces
Face view of the giant terraces at Machu Picchu. I'd say each one is about 10 to 12 feet tall?
The soil was supposedly hauled all the way from Cuzco and up this mountain, by the "working" class. No oxen or horses for the Incas.

Machi Picchu
Good example of how they incorporated their masonry into the existing mountain.

Doorway in Machu Picchu
Our guide told us that during wartime they would fasten a huge wooden door to this doorway. There are indentations on either side of the wall which have a cylinder carved out of the rock.

Sapo!
The Peruvian game Sapo (Spanish for Toad).
This rather deluxe version of the game was at a bar in Cuzco called Bullfrog's.
