A huge HOORAY for the club getting 5th place on their booth at the Cape Fear Fair and Expo. Great job to all those who helped set up the booth.
Congratuations to our 2009 Pet Show Winners! Overall Champion was Hannah Williford with Amber. The Reserve Champion was Brooke Buchanan with Bailey.
They did it again!! Ashley Oyler, Autumn Spears and Willow Spears all qualified at the NC State 4-H Horse Show in Raleigh, NC on July 10-12, 2009 to show at the 4-H Regional Show in Little Rock Arkansas.
Congratulations to Tessa Seitter for winning Gold in the SED 4-H Essay Writing Contest. She will go on to compete in Raleigh on July 10, 2009 at the State level. Way to go for your first Senior competition!
Congratulations to Hunter Lenfesty, Ashley Oyler, Autumn Spears and Willow Spears on qualifying for the NC 4-H State Horse Show. All four competed at the Southeast District Show in Williamston on May 30, 2009. A special shoutout to one of our Cloverbuds, Emily Oyler, who also showed at the District Show and brought home blue ribbons.
Congrats to Ashley who won the SED Jr. Saddleseat Division!
We want to congratulate the three teams from Sprit Riders who competed in horse Bowl 2009 Feb. 14th in Onslow County.
One of the Junior Teams placed 2nd over all!! 
A huge thanks to Mike and Angus Phillips for donating the hay bales and corn to us, for the State Fair Hay Bale Decorating Contest.

The Spirit Riders Pet (dog) Show was held on September 19, 2009 at
the Spears' Farm on Shiloh Rd. in Burgaw, NC. There were some tough classes to be judged. Here are the overall results.
