I finally got around to uploading my transatlantic cruise pictures.

These are photos of Alex taken the Summer of 2009 and photos of Copper a Redback Coonhound taken on January 22, 2010.  Both dogs have been adopted and are enjoying life with loving families.

I've added new pictures to my Jersey Shore beach pictures.  Check back soon as more pictures are coming.

I've updated the photos of Samantha to include new pictures of Samantha interacting with Kathleen and Jeff's baby, Alicia Michelle.

Dolphin 56 was captured for research and branded with the number 56 on his dorsal fin.  After the dolphins were released back into their waters, Dolphin 56 took an abrupt turn North. Can you blame him after being made a subject of research? This was back in 1968.

For the past 30 years Dolphin 56 has been spotted in waters from Florida to Long Island. The colder water temperatures don't seem to bother him in northern waters. He's been spotted as late as November 5, off the New Jersey coast.

While fully capable of fending for himself in the wild, Dolphin 56 likes fresh fish caught by somebody else. He's been known to poke his bottle nosed snout into fisherman's boats looking for a free hand out. He does not mind being patted on his smooth skin. If the fish isn't readily visible Dolphin 56 will "stand" upright in the water to check out the boat more closely. This is known as "spy hopping".

Dolphin 56 is every bit a wild dolphin,  but he knows a good thing when he finds it. Marine biologists know Dolphin 56 and record his sightings. But they advise against feeding him or any other wild marine mammal:.  1) They may become too dependent on free hand outs. 2) They may become too friendly with humans.. - resulting in injury or death.  Bow Shock Wave riding is one thing, but begging for fish in the path of an oncoming vessel is dangerous for the dolphin and boaters alike. 

Marine biologists estimate that Dolphin 56 is 42 years old. This is well beyond the life expectancy of wild bottle nosed dolphins.  The old man must be doing something right!

I've added an album of my niece Kathleen and her husband Jeff's dog, Samantha. Sam or Sammie is one of my favorite dogs. Even though I don't get out to visit in Minnesota often. She always remembers me and greets me with tail wags and kisses.

I've added a new photo album of photos taken during several trips to Ft. Lauderdale. Once again you will find a mix of illustrative photos of Ft. Lauderdale Beach as well as some "Archetectuals" Abstractions of light, shape and color based on buildings that lent themselves to this kind of treatment.

I've just added an album of pictures I took of my 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage ES. On July 17th, 2008 my car was struck on the front passenger quarter panel by a woman who ran a Stop sign from a side street.

While I am doing much better then right after the accident, I am still recovering from my injuries. I have cervical muscle spasms. I also get intermittent spasms of the left sternocliedomastoid muscle.

I've changed my photo of myself to a more current one. It shows my new glasses. I think they update my look while allowing me to see better.

I've added some new albums. They depict cruises I've been on. There is also an addition of photos of Samantha, my niece Kathleen's lovable American Staffordshire Terrier (Pit Bull) Enjoy.

The photos of Shelter Dogs were taken by me and other volunteers.Each dog has his/her own unique personality. If I could I would take them all home! There are many other dogs at FOLAS  as well as some adorable kitties. I've only shown some of the pictures of dogs I've walked and come to know. They are all sweethearts each in his/her own way.

Edward Weston, one of the pioneers in full gray tone black and white photography. The method was called the Zone System. He did a series of black and white peppers called "Sensual Peppers". Here's my best tribute to Weston. If I didn't tell you these were peppers would you know?
