Wow... Marvelous May already?! The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of fun for our 1st Graders!...
We made flower rice-krispy treats, paper mache, globes and had clown ice-cream cones for Valentin’s birthday celebration! It was definitely a fun week and quite eventful. However, the fun is just beginning as we start gearing up towards the many events that lie ahead of us.
We are getting ready for our Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Fair in May by working on many different projects. One being a greenhouse and its effects. Be sure to look in our garden in a couple of weeks! Our greenhouse has already begun germinating our lettuce seeds. The children are squealing with excitement! And we built our recycled robots that turned out to be magnificent!
Our most anticipated classroom event is probably our annual 1st Grade Sleepover Luau! The families will feast on a Hawaiian buffet, watch an amazing presentation, play games, watch a movie (Lilo & Stitch, of course!), and spend the night in our school library with a parent. Unbelievable fun just around the corner!!
We'd like to wish all of our moms and special women in our lives a wonderful Mother's Day! Your love and dedication to all of the children is simply amazing and greatly appreciated. Happy Mommy Day!!!
