At Peninsula Heritage School, Technology is ubiquitous and is integrated into the curriculum through classroom projects. Each of the classrooms has an Elmo document camera and the RedCat Audio System with microphone. In addition the school has 25 laptops available on a cart for student use.
The children at PHS create classroom projects using various programs. Realmath, Kidpix, SRA Imagine it, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft PowerPoint, Type 2 Learn, Discovery Education and Microsoft Movie Maker are just a few of these programs. The keyboarding program Type 2 Learn starts in the 3rd grade. Currently the 3rd, 4th grade and 5th grade classes are actively working on their keyboarding skills.
Student work can now be viewed under the class projects tab. This is only a sampling of student work and more will be added soon.
