Do you notice the different colors in the water? Each of the different colors represents something different. By looking at the picture, do you think the water is cold, warm, or hot? Read more to find the answer to this question.
The reason these "puddles" of water are multi colored is because they are filled with Thermopiles (heat-loving microscopic animals). The areas of the water that are green and brown are cooler compared to the rest of the colors. Orange and yellow indicates that the water is hot. Blue shows that the water is boiling. In this area, there are very few Thermopiles and therefore the water is clear and blue. Maybe, you might be wondering how the puddles get so hot. The reason is that somewhere in the puddle of water there is a tunnel leading down to the center of the Earth! The hot air from the center of the Earth goes through the tunnels and comes out continuously causing the water to get hot. The more hot air that comes out, the hotter the water becomes.
Everyday, more and more of these puddles start getting formed because of the air pressure, and soon those too will turn into all types of awe-inspiring colors.
Since the ocean is also blue, you might be wondering why it is not boiling hot. This is because the water in the puddles is constantly getting heated by the air from the center of the Earth. In the ocean, there is no heat coming from the Earth. The real color of the ocean is clear, but the reason the ocean is blue is because the water is reflecting the color of the sky.
