Welcome to the PRC Crocodiles website!

The Crocodiles represent Petersburg Racquet Club in the Central Savannah River Area Swim League. We invite all youth members of Petersburg Racquet Club ages 4 to 18 to join the competitive swimming program and participate in all team events. The Crocodiles attribute our success to our people - our many fine coaches, swimmers, team leaders, administration, and our very involved, hard-working, and dedicated parents. We place a premium not just on success, but on having fun!

The PRC Crocodiles team objective is to give boys and girls an opportunity to have fun while participating in competitive age-group swimming. Our program aims to provide a quality developmental swim program that develops aquatic skills, promotes sportsmanship, team spirit and the desire to adopt swimming as a favorite sport. Our goal is to teach each child all four of the competitive strokes – freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Our program is designed so a swimmer who joins the team at age six will be proficient at all four strokes by age 10. Learning each stroke properly takes time. Speed will come after the stroke is learned and can be executed properly.

Patience, perseverance, and encouragement are important factors. The ultimate goal, and compliment to our program, is for each child to enjoy the summer swim experience and take that enjoyment to the next competitive level – high school swimming and/or year-round USA Swimming (for example: Greater Augusta Swimming & Aiken-Augusta Swim League).

Since 1986, the PRC Crocodiles have formed a rich history of outstanding teams, swimmers, and coaches. The Crocodiles have won Division Championship in Division 3, Division 2, and have been three-time champions in Division 1.
