The Prodigal Son is the first Men's Transitional Living & Emergency Shelter of Prodigal Ministries of Kansas.

Our Mission: To Glorify God by, equiping men for today, tomorrow and eternity!

MINISTRY / VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Prayer: Pray for Prodigal Minisries of Kansas and place us in your church prayer chain or prayer list.

Lay Counseling & Ministry: What a friend we have in Jesus!  Share your testimony and faith to encourage others.  This mission field is right in your own neighborhood.

Food Donation: Drop off food items for Prodigal Ministries at our office located at 820 Hickory Great Bend, KS 67530. Cook casseroles to be served at the shelter.

Have a meal or other benefit to raise money for the Shelter: this is also good for businesses and organizations to consider doing.

Donate Clothing: Especially jeans 32, 34, 36, coats, tennis shoes & work boots 9,10,11,12, socks & underwear, hats & gloves. You may also see our needs list in the Files section to the upper right hand section and print it out.

Give Financially: Because of our Christian stand we receive no government or United Way Assistance! We rely solely on your donations! general donations: we will utilize your gift for our greatest current need.

Monthly Giving Program: your monthly gift will provide steady monthly support for the basic ministry of feeding and sheltering the men we serve.

A Prodigal Ministries of Kansas Board Member will speak in your church: It's a previalge to tell the church what God is doing at the Prodigal Son House. The life changes through Jesus Christ our Lord!  We also have a video you may present to your church.

Business and/or Organization: conduct a canned food drive, collect hygiene supplies such as , laundry soap, dish soap, deo, razors, shampoo & conditioner, tooth brushes and tooth paste, vitamins, etc.

Sponsor a Resident:  Birthday Party and /or event , a gift or needs for your sponsored resident.

Make Fleece Tie Blankets: Come by and ask a resident his favorite colors or ask who his favorite football team is to help you choose the colors, this would make it personal for the resident.  Oh , how the little things can make a difference. 

Research Homelessness Issues: you and your family can help each other, your friends and neighbors understand the problem as it relates to our community.

"Footprints of Faith" will be collecting shoes through December 8th.
"Christmas for Families" runs through Christmas. Both projects are accepting cash and check donations as well.
