ROUNDUPThe meet was a huge success! We could not have done this without your help. We have almost twice and many teams as last year and the meet ran much cleaner.
Coppell XC parents are the best even in hot and windy conditions.
Big shout out to our bikers Mark Abel, Todd Hynson, Carl Khor, Lance McCaskey and Greg Vlahos. You guys had the toughest job of all today and did it wonderfully.
Pasta Dinner No Pasta dinner this week. Next pasta dinner is on October 27.
However, there will be a "team" dinner as Fat Daddy's on Thursday, Oct 20 at 6:00pm as part of the fundraiser program. A portion of the proceed will go to the Booster Club to help fund the CC programs.

- Pick up 4x8 trailer at Ace Hardware in Coppell Thursday night by 7pm (10/6). Meet Coach Farris at the Coppell High School morning to load the 2 water cows and take to the race course. If this person could return after the meet and take them back to the high school and return the trailer that would be ideal, but not required.
- Volunteers to get 15-20 bags of ice and deliver to the park by 11:30pm on Friday.

Adopt a Soldier
It's time to start writing letters to our new soldier, Lee Robinson, son of CHS wrestling coach John Robinson. Lee is stationed in Kandahar, Afghanistan. KaNan Vickroy (Carson's mom) is the chair for Adopt A Soldier Program. Since we only have one soldier, KaNan will be assigning 4 runners per week to write the letter. Please take time to write Lee a nice letter when it is your turn.

Home Coming (Volunteers needed)
The Homecoming parade is Monday, September 19th and we need some CREATIVE help.
Cross country has an existing float (with a running shoe) that needs to be spruced up and modified to fit this year's theme...Don't Stop the Music. The kids will meet to do the decorating, but we need some design help. Is that up your alley...please contact Carmen Vlahos at vlahoshome@aol.com to get started. Thanks...this is a fun event!
CC Roundup (Volunteers needed)We are still in great need of volunteers for the Friday October 7th Round Up Cross Country meet. We like to have at least one parent volunteer from each family so we can make sure our meet is well run and successful. There are many times and positions available throughout the day so you will not miss your child's event.
