Dear Gamma Phi Beta Alumnae:
The Raleigh Area Gamma Phi Beta Alumnae Group is ready for another terrific year. The attached schedule lists the eight events scheduled between September 2010 and May 2011. We have something for everyone! If you are a Gamma Phi and have not yet attended an event please make this the year. The group is informal and friendly and events are more fun when we have lots of participants.
We are also pleased to be able to keep our dues at $35 this year: $25 for International dues and $10 for our group dues. You'll find a dues form enclosed in this mailing. You may either send them to Sara Allen at the address on the form, or bring your dues form and payment to the September event. Our primary philanthropy this year is Meals on Wheels so plan on bringing non-perishable food items with you to our meetings. Mitzi Rackley will be updating us on specific foods requested by the program.
The officers for 2010-11 are:
Julia Fielding, President
Mitzi Rackley, Secretary
Dawn Eagan, Co-Vice President of Programs
Meghann Martinez, Co-Vice President of Programs
Sara Allen, Treasurer
We have a Gamma Phi Beta Group email account; the address is raleighgpb@yahoo.com. Feel free to email us anytime and one of the officers will get back to you. We'll be using that email account to send driving directions and event reminders approximately one week before each event. If you do not have email, please check "via telephone" on the dues form under preferred method of communication for program reminders and announcements. Also, if you have an email address, it would be easier (in future years) for the officers to email you this schedule; please drop an email to raleighgpb@yahoo.com so we can add you to the email distribution list.
We're looking forward to seeing you at any (or all!) of the events this year.
In IIKE,
Julia Fielding

Here are some ideas on information that you might want to include in your letters:
· International GPB's strength within the NPC world and specifically the Mid Atlantic - We have 4 collegiate chapters in the state of Virginia, 1 in NC, 1 in Kentucky and 4 in SC and an our newest chapter Eta Gamma in Delaware. We also have over 20 alumnae chapters across Region 2 including chapters in both Raleigh and Charlotte NC.
· Our extension recruitment success in the past - We do our best to do it right from the beginning. We have already started rallying the alumnae, we will focus on PR on the campus, we will provide support in the areas of International VLs, local alumnae, CLCs, etc.
· Our new chapter support - Our new chapters receive solid support from all departments within GPB and from surrounding collegiate and alumnae chapters.
· Our focus on educational programming - Specifically community engagement, member education, leadership development, etc.
· Our desire to partner with the campus - We want GPB to shine, which will also impact the UNC-W Panhellenic community in a positive way.
· Our use of technology - New website, utilization of Facebook and Twitter, etc.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I will be glad to see if I can track down the answer for you!
Thank you for your assistance!
