Well four weeks after falling I was able to get home which felt great. After the fall I was transported on a backboard to the emergency room in Bellingham. They did a CT Scan and came to the room and ask me to not move at all and said they were going to send me to Harborview for surgery. After the surgery I spent a few days in intensive care, Brad was good enough to stop by while I was there, than a few more in acute care before being discharged after eight days to a rehab facility which was located next to Green Lake. I was at the rehab facility for three weeks and got out last Friday evening. Rehab went well while I was there every day there was improvement but it was sure good to get home.
Presently I am mobile have little numb feeling in one leg do not know if that will go away with time or not but it does not seem to affect my walking. I will continue with outpatient rehab for a while longer and was told after three months or so should be feeling normal, well as normal as I can feel.
I have a follow up surgery on Nov 2 and have been told that I should expect to go home when discharged from the hospital.
I would expect it to be a couple of months before we find our way to an outing, perhaps January.

To all my Red Bandana friends;
I just want to thank you all for all your kind words, it helps to know that you all will miss her almost as much as Rich and I will.
It will take awhile before I stop crying when I get home from work because Delilah is not here to greet me.
For Rich it's getting the mail, she always helped him find the mailbox!
We have tons of great memories and will miss her.

I don't know if this is where I am supposed to post something regarding Delilah, but she was a beautiful friend and I know she will be sorely missed. My thoughts are with both Rich and Lyn as that is a hard thing to have to do; let a companion go across the bridge into the next world. She reminded so much of my beloved Pandora and I had to let her go in the same way at the age of 12. Thinking of you guys!!

I just learned Tom and Judy's mom fell and broke her hip. Also, Judy fell down the stairs at home and cracked three ribs and hit her head. Both are in the hospital in Bellingham. I'll let everyone know when I have further info.

The May campout was small but thoroughly enjoyed by Chuck and I. The brauts and burgers were deicious and the company was as good as the food. Hopefully we will make a campout next year with more members there so we can reconnect with you.

Hi everyone, I am so sorry we couldn't do the April outing. Roy went to the Dr. that Thursday and he said no weight on the foot yet. So that meant no driving.
