Welcome to Crew Stadium!

Let us not second-guess our club loyalties, here.  I bleed Red Bull . . . sometimes literally; especially on those long road trips.  Speaking of such trips, I recently treked from Virginia Beach VA to Columbus OH to spur on my Red Bulls against arguably MLS' best club this season.

While we did not come away with any points, it was a very enjoyable experience!  Part of my motivation (other than supporting the Red Bulls) was to watch a match in MLS' FIRST soccer-specific stadium (i.e., Crew Stadium).  "Cozy" is the one word I would use to describe it, but this adjective does not do the stadium justice, because it was rockin' for 90 minutes . . . and some regulars told me the crowd was "light!?"

It was a COMPLETELY different experience, compared with Giants Stadium.  I really felt part of the whole "scene."  I will check it off my bucket list, BUT "Watch Red Bulls win MLS Cup in Red Bull Arena" remains ON the list.  Just a matter of time, my friends!  My experience at Crew Stadium makes me yearn for Red Bull Arena even more, if that is even possible . . .

Thank you Crew staff and fans for being so hospitable and friendly.  Thank you, "Crewzers! - Work Hard, Dance Harder!"  I LOVE IT!

Lastly, thank you, MLS for continuing to grow the league at a measured pace.  Incidentally, there is a proposal on the table here in Virginia Beach to renovate our 15,000-seat soccer-specific stadium (Yes, the USL-1 Mariners USED to play here . . . ).  Maybe we could see an MLS franchise here down the road?
