You may know Vast Aire as 1/2 of Cannibal Ox, whose 2001 debut, The Cold Vein, helped launch El-P’s Def Jux Records. In 2004, Vast went solo and dropped Look Ma No Hands and in June of this year released his sophomore follow up Dueces Wild, which was produced almost entirely by up-and-comer Melodius Monk.
And local legend, Seel Fresh will also be performing in celebration of his upcoming album Street Famous (out Oct. 28th) Originally known as a graf artist, Seel dropped a full length in 2006, and has been grinding hard on the blvd as his new album title reflects. Come out and cop a CD before it hits the stores!!
You won't wanna miss this concert, we're bringing you more and more of the best in progressively-minded Hip-Hop!!

| In anticipation of the upcoming documentary film, "Roof Top Hip-Hop", the "Ascension" showcase will feature some of Chicago's rawest Hip-Hop talents. DJs Intel & Maker will kick off the night with Hip-Hop, Soul, and Funk records, followed by four hours of live Hip-Hop featuring ten of Chicago's most unique and entertaining acts. Held at the Kinetic Playground in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, "Ascension" will appeal to the tastes of Hip Hop fans and lovers of live music alike. Dance, listen, drink, and vibe in Kinetic Playground's vibrant décor, and state of the art lighting and sound.
