Thanks to all who made the trek out to The Norfolk Tavern in Port Dover on April 6, where we opened for Rhyme 'n Reason's cd release party. The event was oversold and included members of our own Pineridge Bluegrass Club. A big thanks to Rhyme 'n Reason for asking us to be part of this special day!

you really helped us out BIG Time. Thanks again.
As of last week many words of praise were still coming in from Parkwood sources
and our membership....
a few are:
- what a fantastic group of entertainers,
- they were Awesome,
- best group we have ever had at Parkwood,
- when are they playing here again?
- some of the parkwood vets that missed the show claimed
it should have been advertized more (next year maybe).
- great entertainers...I loved their music,
- never heard Bluegrass sound so good.
Also, on your website Rhyme "N" Reason at Parkwood there is a YOU TUBE

Dear R & R members; I just wanted to let you know how much comfort I received from your Time Has Come CD as I drove back and forth from my home to Ottawa. My father passed away unexpectedly before Christmas and the rides were long. Your lyrics and music greatly assuaged my sorrow and reminded me of my father's eternal home with his heavenly Father. Dear Organizers;
I just wanted to congratulate and thank you for the wonderful job you did on planning and executing this large undertaking. The volunteers and professionals alike worked hard and in sync to pull it off in harmony with the music. I've loved bluegrass music all of my life and attending this festival was like attending a preview of what heaven I hope will be like. You had some really good talent on the roster and a few of them really stood out and I'd like to mention them if I may. The Ducharme Family were a real pleasure and exciting to listen to. They emanated the joy, happiness and sense of family that can be found in bluegrass music. Secondly I thought that the Tebworth Brothers were priceless and that their DNA should be gathered up for cloning. Talk about refreshing!
Lastly but certainly not "leastly", the group that impressed me the most were the Rhyme and Reason. This group of seasoned musicians is in a class of its own. Their sweet sounds represent and illustrate what our bluegrass roots looked and sounded like and moreover, they are holding true to them. With great class, humility and dignity, they serve up a style of bluegrass music that gives me a tickle in my ear and a warm and fuzzy feeling like good medicine does. By the second time I had heard
them on Saturday I was left thinking that only God could have put this combination of musicians together.
Again, I congratulate and thank you and your team for a job well done and I look forward to attending again next year!

It would be a dream come true if the gang could drop by the 404 Wing after you are done with the Dan Joseph Radio Show. It's very close to where we are jamming every Wednesday evening at the 404 Wing and there just happens to be a BBQ going on there that evening. Our jam session IS the entertainment that they mention. I know you have to head for Nova Scotia the next morning but if you could spare a bit of time to drop by, it would be greatly appreciated. I doubt that this kind of coincidence will happen again when you are all in Waterloo when we are jammin' during the week. It's a good chance to show the 404 Wing members why they should all be in Elmira on Sunday evening, July 29th

I cannot thank everyone enough for the effort and good time on Sat. night. My friends Johhny, Adam, Suzie, and Joe made an awesome noise for the folks at Brant Hills Church in Burlington. Rhyme and Reason did there normally spectacular show. Bill had them rolling in the aisles and Doug made them cry. The elders at the church were so pleased once again and wished for me to pass along their gratitude. The funds raised from this event are being used to pay down the debt from the recent accesibility project that included a new elevator and ramp. Once again THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.. We will do this again.

I usually don't go to workshops any more as I have found that they often get bogged down in things like bridge height, string size etc. but I had been very impressed with your back up playing with your band and hoped maybe to get you to show me a few of your neat "bluesy" licks afterwards. So I was extremely pleased when you covered just what I was interested in during the workshop and the CD has proved to be a great learning tool that I can use at my own pace. I copied it into my computer and have slowed it down so as to be able to figure out all the notes. All I need now is the time and the fingers to learn the licks and the imagination to include them in my repertoire.

If you don't mind however, I should like to offer a suggestion. The banjo audio comes through loud and clear but your spoken words are hard to hear. If you were to re-record your voice portion, I think you would have an extremely good teaching CD which you should sell rather that give away. I am sure there are many players who would be glad to pay for such valuable information...I know I would. You could offer it for sale at your CD table when the band is performing or maybe Dan Campbell might be interested in having a few copies in his stock.
I really enjoyed hearing your band perform. Your singing and musicianship is top rate and I am looking forward to hearing and seeing you again. I wish you all continued success.
