Puppies are here! Born June 19, 2011 (Father's Day)
This is a great breeding between Lucas' Makai and Lucas' Riddick. This will be a one time breeding for these two dogs, as Makai is retiring after this litter. These pups have wonderful markings.

All puppies are doing well. Each puppy has been eating well and gaining weight.
Since Birth the puppies have gained: (remember this has been only 4 days)
Delaney gained: 8 oz Drake gained: 8 oz
Daphney gained: 8 oz Dixie gained: 7 oz
Dakota gained: 7 oz Dharma gained: 12 oz
Daisy gained: 10 oz Diva gained: 10 oz
Dolly gained: 11 oz Darling gained: 12 oz
Dawn gained: 8 oz Diesel gained: 5 oz
We are glad that is over. Official date of birth: June 19, 2011. Yep, Father's Day.
This was the hardest delivery so far. After 35 hours of labor the final head count was 10 girls and 2 boys. (Talk about out numbered) Mom and pups are doing well and getting some well deserved rest. Now I think I am going to join them. I am exhausted! Off to bed...at least for a brief nap until the evening feedings.
Well, we had the x-ray done on Monday, 6-13-11, and we had a head count of 12 puppies.
As of today, we are at day 59 of the pregnancy, and Makai could go into labor any day now. I am with her 24 hours a day and carefully watching her actions. It wont be long now...
Things are going well, Makai (mom) is getting bigger every day. (She looks like a cow w/ utters..ha ha) We are still looking at the16th to the 20th for her estimated delivery date. Makai is going to have an x-ray done on Mon., the 13th, to get a head count of puppies and see how big they are before delivery. We are getting everything ready and getting very excited.
