The first St. Andrew's Camp Bicycle ride took place on 8/18/12! The day was warm and sunny. It was a perfect day for a bike ride. We had five riders. Three distances were available: 12 miles, 30 miles, or a metric century. After the cue sheets were handed out and bib numbers pinned onto our jerseys, we headed out. Since everyone chose the metric century, we decided a no-drop, group ride would fun. Tru Green donated lawn stakes, which were painted and used to mark the course. THANK YOU TRU GREEN. The ride was supported by a SAG wagon, driven by Paul Kondakoff. Paul did a great job. He was waiting at every rest stop. We had ample food and fluid refills. The half way stop was at Delta Lake State Park. The beach provided a beautiful back drop for pictures. We circled around the lake and up and down some rollers while heading back to the camp. Daria York had a wonderful barbeque ready for us when we returned to camp. Great day, GREAT RIDE!
Special thanks to: Marti Evanoff, Henry Dotterer, Mike Nortman, Mitch Tiegel, Andrew Bilinski, Paul Kondakoff, Eva Weisner, Tru-Green.
