   Imagine if Howlin’ Wolf or Muddy Waters somehow wound up on the set of “Road Warrior” or “Hellboy”” and needed a guitar... This, undeniably, would be the guitar.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this 2006 Gibson Les Paul Special that is absolutely one-of-a-kind. It stared out in life from the Memphis, Tennesee Gibson plant. I found it with some of its finish gone and a very pro headstock repair and decided to give it a new life. By adding incredible distresses, multi layer paint treatments, found objects from New Orleans to Memphis to NYC to Seattle, mis-matched screws and just nasty rusty stuff. I hope I’ve made a worthy steampunk-esque guitar transformation. These “add ons” are only for the artistic aesthetic and do not affect the playability or sound in any way. The guitars actually sound a little better after I’ve gotten all the thick Polyurethane off it and get the finish a little thinner like the nitro cel finishes of the 40’s and 50’s.
   This is not a artsy “wall hanger” by any means. I’m extremely fussy as to my own set ups and playability, and this Les Paul is no different. The hardware and pickups are all original from the factory. I own and have owned all the great stuff from real 50’s bursts, D’Angelico’s, custom color pre-CBS Strats and pre- war Martins. In other words, I’m not a hobbyist with a can of Krylon. I always make a strap specifically for each guitar and this one is included with the guitar on ebay.    If you are looking for just a pre owned Les Paul on ebay, this would probably be the last one you would want. It is designed for a very unique player or collector. Slash, Billy Gibbons, Neil Young or Zakk Wylde come to mind. This is the first one I’ve decided to put out on the market and I think it’s pretty cool.
