2010 Festival Highlights

ROCKONZ 2010 will be remembered as a history of Rock from the late 50's through to the Big Rock Band of the 70's Dragon. "Stars" of the ROCKONZ Concert formed in 1973 in New Zealand and after having great success they moved on to Australia where they became "Super Stars" with hits such as April Sun in Cuba, Are you old enough and Rain. In 2008 Dragon was inducted into the Australian Aria Hall of Fame. On Friday 14 May, 2010 at the Celebrity ROCKONZ Hall of Fame Awards dinner at the Chateau on the Park they were inducted into ROCKONZ Hall of Fame by Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker.

ROCKONZ Rock 'n' Retro Festival 2010

ROCKONZ 2010 was once again a fun festival where the Kiwi performers and musicians played the music, the Rock 'n' Roll Club members and the audience did the dancing and the Retro Cars all came together as part of New Zealand Music month, to celebrate the KIWI culture of the 1950's through the 60's to the 1970's.

Old friends Graham Wardrop & Suzanne Lynch came together to sing a duet.
